Do you think Byteball can compete with IOTA. IOTA has no fees and byteball it has. I think that only for this reason IOTA will always have a suggestion. In addition, the interest of large companies is also on the IOTA side.

No fees is not an advantage against very-low fees, but very-low fees protect the network against spamming.
Don't be fooled by what they pretend about large companies supporting them, they hired advisors having relations with big companies for marketing purpose but be sure these guys barely know what is a crypto-currency and won't do any real work.

I have a hard time to understand, why do we need fees to prevent spam? Proof of work was originally invented to prevent spam. You don't need a  mining farm to submit transaction. A challenge should be easy enough to be solved by a cell phone or IOT device, but get exponentially more difficult for spammer with every next transaction. There are also other ways to prevent spam, like rate limited transactions (see steem, eos)

The problem is that a computer have thousands of times the processing power of a cell phone, so attacking the network would not be much of a problem.

IOTA market cap near $8B with Byteball being 2% of that. Simple truth is that if dev can get bytes listed on a bigger exchange such as bitfinex, coinone, or binance, Byteball will be in the hands of more people and have a higher market cap, and can better compete with IOTA in terms of visibility and gaining use cases.
iota is a very centralized coin. even with it's current success i trust more the technological superiority of byteball in a few years.

we can say that both projects are good and only time will show which one of them is better Wink

This a very interesting project.

As far as I understand, the minimum amount should be at least $ 500 for Private Presale?

I right?

Also I typed in my btc address that was already synced before and it made me sign and verify a new msg again (this was after I updated to the new version of the wallet) But it should have already been synced right?

Addresses have never been 'delinked' that I know of.

What is your byteball address and/or bitcoin address so that we can check.

Also, you can check at:
transition.byteball.org
in combination with
explorer.byteball.org

I was just reading Venezuela wants launch the "petro" a cryptocurrency backed by oil reserves.
The first Byteball ICO (Titan-Coin backed by ilmenite concentrate)
works flawless and i think for the "Petro" there is enough space on the Byteball DAG.. Smiley
… and Tony is known to be a recognized expert in widespread launch.
Does anyone have contacts to Venezuela? Print vouchers is also not a problem.. Roll Eyes

This petro-currency is a big joke, how would trust something backed by a socialist country that already expropriated assets from foreign compagnies ? Better for Byteball to stay away from these stealers.
Definitely agree (I was in troll mode  Wink), apart from this argument, one can not keep the safety distance to the policy big enough (e.g. Kaspersky)

Hey yea I found it, it said it was linked. But the weird thing was when I updated the new wallet I typed in my btc address to the chat bot and it told me to sign a msg again even though I had already linked it. weird

Very good that the kind of Distribution change.

In the past month was the linked BTC Account a big problem. Always the price dump.

If you can cancel Distributuion for linked BTC Account I prefer this.

Stocks with linked GByte is okay.

I recommend that you switch to Mbyte similar as IOTA.

Exactly i have been saying this for a long time switch to MByte.

A lot of noobs buy on price per unit they dont understand the total cap.

How many times have i seen it said byteball is too expensive so i bough iota cos it is cheaper.

Simple psy. This is the first change to be done.

Those asking why iota is 30x higher cap.

You have iota in the hands of very very few people whos interested in colluding and forcing cap higher.

You have BB in the hands of a few people many of which are in competing projects and 50% still in the hands of the dev (iota probably has more but it is hidden)

Based on the code alone BB should be higher than iota or on a par.

Tear the band aid off get the coins pushed out to current byteball  holders or locked away in a decentralised way with full ledger for development.

Forget asking corner shops to use it... take it to the big companies and create some headlines.

sneaknesbo is good at one thing........marketing and hype .... plus has no problem at all blagging with the big companies. No disrespect to small shop owners and corner stores but you wont get sneaknesbo seeking them out and advertising it. He knows what creates good sound bytes.

Use some BB to create a good marketing team if tony is not comfortable consorting with huge companies that can benefit from BB.

Your message shows the path to follow. Those are the measures to be taken if we want to have byteball in a better position. We are grateful to Tony for the technology he gave to the community, but now a special effort should be done in marketing. Forget about airdrops, we are in a different stage and a new approach is needed.

PS. In this phase it'll be better to switch from one person (thanks again, Tony) to a team, this is a multidisciplinary task.

Well spoken, that's the way it should go. I really trust in Tony because he's a genious programmer, but I hope he will think about your words and let a skilled team do the marketing.

Put 100,000 GBYTE into a Byteball Foundation to use for marketing, corporate outreach, expanding the dev team, etc.

Put 100,000 aside to continue using for cashback merchant program and any other future programs.

Airdrop the rest.

Done.

This idea sounds simple and effective.

Just my recommondation, you should do such an interview in a much better location, not in a dark cocktail bar. With better light, professional camera and microphones.

Honestly, I like it. Sound is much better than I expected but I notice depends a lot on your sound system too. I have an expensive bose headset with extra receiver and good earplugs and it's like I am there in the bar, the music is in the background, has good bass, but voices totally on top like you are there. On my crappy laptop speaker it is not good though, agreed.

Setting en scene costs a lot of energy too, spontanuous gets a lot more done with much less energy input, which often leads to something instead of nothing, in my case Wink

FUlly agree with all said.

And the unit change from GBYTE to MBYTE is probably much more important that it seems, especially for newcomers (less than 1 year in cryptocurrencies).

There is a new horde of people new to the crypto "investments" that are specifically hunting cryptos with a low price per coin. Many of the IOTA holders are like that. A behaviour that seems absurd and difficult to understand for the more experienced traders.... but it IS happening.

Well I have said since a long time that Byteball needs dedicated marketing guys. Tony can't do everything alone, its impossible. Some american guys, they are excellent at marketing. And BB has so good tech, you can easily show off without being a shill. The only reason that BB is not Top10 is because of lack of visibility.

And the unit change from GBYTE to MBYTE is probably much more important that it seems, especially for newcomers (less than 1 year in cryptocurrencies).

Tony has already created a poll bot so the community can decide on important decisions (another BB feature that is hardly known),  maybe its time to put it to use?
