Let say If I want change my name from "sukamasoto" to "sukamacewek"

Q1
And when people want to send me PM, are they need to put old name or new name ?
* Let say if people are too lazy to click my account directly and try to use "find member" feature

Q2
Are they still able to send me PM using old name ?

Thanks for attention

Q2

if my first answer was right, i think they can't.

But to be more specific, this question just can be answered by admin, and some people who success changed their nick.

As far as i know users that changed their username, now to login they still use the old username (don't know about the new one). About the PM issue I would suggest to contact Mitchell as he has changed the username in the past, Lauda too.

You can't change your account name unless you're a donor member.  This should alleviate the need to answer your questions.

Why not try to make a new account then put a link of your high rank below the avatar or in that space. Well i don't know your purpose but i suppose it's more easier? I haven't tried it yet but it's what i was try but i think its questionable.

IIRC Either one will work. The old name is still your username for logging in, so that is still unique. Your new name is also unique because otherwise it would not have been possible to change to that.

Q2
Are they still able to send me PM using old name ?
Yes.

Q1 Both works.
They can send and you can receive PMs addressed to sukamasoto as well as sukamacewek. It will be sukamacewek in your inbox and in the sender's outbox.

Q2 Yeah.

Where can I find the help documentation related username change? Just because in another thread I read that anyone could request to change his username but it seems that the rules were updated since that thread, I guess.

Well you can look at the SMF documentation using the help link and it will tell you how to change your display name.
If however you go into your profile an attempt to do so, you will see that the option to change your display name is not available to you.
There's nothing stopping anyone from asking admins for a username change but it is highly unlikely they will entertain your request.  I'm sure it would be very low on their list of priorities.

You can buy/borrow Smiley leaked DB, get new account with ability to change username. Seems like many do it here and this bitcointalk probably even believes it is legal.

Whatever, changing your name will not change anything related to the connection and whoever wants, can find easily your old name. Unless you only dislike your username it is usefull, but to pretend you changed your name gives you only fake security and fake anonymous feeling. You can always register new account.
