I wanted to start the boolbd in daemon mode, like the "--detach" parameter of monerod does. My problem is that the daemon starts as a child process of sshd and gets terminated, when the ssh session is closed.
Something like
Code:
nohup ./boolbd --no-console >/dev/null 2>&1 &
should work. It literally means "no hangup", and the rest just ensures there's no visible output.

Why not just start it in screen?

Good point. In my case, I already have a ton of stuff in a screen, and I prefer to daemonize everything that doesn't need interaction. But for the original poster, screen might be just fine, and it's arguably easier in some ways.

What to see. Nothing change since the last time I visit this topic. Wallet is same, price is same. Dead end. I am really dissapointed by the way you will burry this currency for a second time. Well done  1scamologist. Great work

Boolberry Network Address Nov. 9th 2016

Boolberry Daemon Development

Version information was added to each peer handshake.

We will release binaries soon and put the md5 or other hash into the repository, for validation. These binaries will be compatible with all other boolberry clients, but have additional functionality. It will at the very least show how much of the network uses the new client.

All of our upcoming web services will use the new client, because the web services simply won't work on the old versions of boolberry due to few RPC functions.

Additionally, stop_daemon RPC method was added as well as protected API status.

You can follow the pull requests here https://github.com/BlockchainDevelopmentCompany/boolberry/pulls?q=is%3Apr+is%3Aclosed

Javajared is zooming through RPC code updates, as he is also working on a Java version of Boolberry client from scratch.

Boolberry Community

There are more people on the slack, as it is the best way to follow developments https://boolberry.herokuapp.com/

A Russian language version of the original research report was completed. The translator will be paid from the dev & bounty fund.

Boolberry Capital Markets

As of block 646844 there are 8,498,055.023923 Boolberry in existence.

As there are no block explorers that still function since chainradar.com stopped reporting boolberry blocks over a month ago, the market may be underestimating how much Boolberry there is in circulation.

As some of you know, I refer to Boolberry as XBR in my own internal documents. As I watch the perception of Boolberry be out of line with reality, I think a good case for XBR would be rebranding and relaunching into the collective conscious as software updates come out in a nice cadence.

BBR has baggage of having no development on it. Bter recently delisted it. The one block explorer stopped showing blocks for it. There are legitimate reasons for people to think it has no development, especially when its main twitter account also said so.

XBR would be a nice punch of life, immediately letting everyone know that there is a development effort ongoing. That's my case for XBR. Its a discussion.

Thank you for the update 1blockologist. It sounds like javajared is making nice progress with the new client.. what is your estimate of % of completion of the RPC update?

I would say 70%-80% but some functions are more important than others, and some are more complicated than others.

the check images function that javajared just submitted for review is an important one for getting cryptonote coins listed on bitsquare

XBR would just be a trading symbol, it would still be pronounced "Boolberry". Many places list Bitcoin as XBT part of a currency pair, while others list it as BTC a product name. Although you would be able to expect that I exclusively use the trading symbol.

What would you like from CZ, an endorsement? I thought it was pretty clear there wouldn't be any contentious hard forks and the code is open source.

What is your best guess on how much BBR is in circulation? Why do you think the market would underestimate that?

In that article they stated 8,187,580 BBR, and 1block checked this week exactly how many and stated in his update "As of block 646844 there are 8,498,055.023923 Boolberry in existence."

"As there are no block explorers that still function since chainradar.com stopped reporting boolberry blocks over a month ago, the market may be underestimating how much Boolberry there is in circulation."

Thank you for your commitment.

What is your best guess on how much BBR is in circulation? Why do you think the market would underestimate that?

8.4Million coins in circulation

These guys say 5 million in circulation

https://coinopoly.xyz/monero-boolberry-and-the-return-of-crypto_zoidberg/

In that article they stated 8,187,580 BBR, and 1block checked this week exactly how many and stated in his update "As of block 646844 there are 8,498,055.023923 Boolberry in existence."

In the very next paragraph they say less than 5m in circulation

"That’s roughly 100x its current value, and with less than 5M notes in circulation, this is very easy to do."
