Bittrex wallet has been up all day (it's afternoon here), I've succesfully deposited coins there.

great, they had told me about what concerned they had and I told them they didn't affect Boolberry and to re-enable it last tuesday. glad to see they did.

Most of the activity happens on the slack channels.

In case you missed it, a bug in Monero prompted Poloniex and Bittrex to suspend withdrawals and deposits for all crypto note coins including Boolberry. Ironic since fluffy pony no longer considers Monero to be a cryptonote network, we all share the same common ancestor regardless of semantics.

Bittrex has unsuspended Boolberry withdrawals and deposits, and Poloniex will be next.

No deliverables in development since the last bi-weekly, primarily following the influential developments in the Bitcoin space this month. More developers have offered contributions to the source code.

The twitter account is live @boolberryteam with periodic updates that will also be sped up as more news becomes applicable.

You could run my git repo that got rid of the version string that was causing the segfault if you want to run a daemon with the other features from the BlockchainDevelopmentCompany versoin.

The Bi-Weeklies are primarily a synchronization and summary of whats happened on the various slack channels and communication portals, over the last two weeks.

Poloniex deposit and withdrawals are still down, and this is still Boolberry’s most liquid market. Crypto_Zoidberg has sent Poloniex support some information now.

Roadmap Validation

A concept called masternodes has been tried on other
networks, and it is a hybrid form of Proof of Stake, while the
mining nodes maintain a Proof of Work system. Masternodes
are an optional form of full node that also maintain a certain
balance in the associated crytocurrency. So for example, a full
node that has 100 BBR (an illustrative example) in its address
would be eligible to report to the network as a masternode and
earn more Boolberry for its participation in the network.
Masternodes would also be subject to additional criteria such
as being highly connectible, having low down time, and more.
Other passive full nodes could function without the complying
with the criteria. Masternodes will allow BBR holders to
earn dividends on their BBR holdings. This means there
would be no immediate reason to sell a stake in BBR, as it will
earn an income for you, and masternodes can become a
competitive business where new speculators will tolerate
lower and lower margins at a higher cost of buying a
masternode.

The reason other networks don’t attempt to compensate nonmining
nodes is because the
concept has theoretical flaws, which have not happened anywhere yet, but have deterred other
networks from pursuing implementation. Specifically the concept of a sybil attack, or other
method where people try to game the system.

Since that time, the market has rediscovered masternodes on some other cryptocurrencies and this is validation for the roadmap and foresight the Blockchain Development Company has.

Crypto_Zoidberg has also stated interest in a staking system on Boolberry in the past.

Due to the fact that Boolberry and other networks have no use for masternodes, but still wish to compensate full nodes, there is a treasury concept that has been presented on the Ethereum blockchain which could be more useful here.

When will the masternode, blocktax (devlopment funding) and governance structure be implemented ? is there even an eta or is this just an idea that is likely to move in a glacial bbr time frame ?

BBR should get a large funding pot and eventually fund the devs here to code full time on bbr.

The masternodes only being perhaps 100BBR does not sound enough. I would think 3-5000 bbr would be better.

Am I the only one who doesn't like the idea of masternodes? To me, they sound like centralization and oligarchy, the very things that cryptocurrencies were created to stand against.

I recall Darkcoin (now Dash) introduced masternodes to facilitate coin mixing. Truly anonymous coins like Boolberry have no such needs. Proof of Stake is a useful concept, and it could be allowed for anyone, not just select few rich ones.

I'd like Boolberry to stay equally accessible to anyone, instead of making some nodes more equal than others. Of course, PoS rewards could be proportional to the staked amount, as they do in the original PoS coin, Peercoin. There's no need to set up artificial barriers for entry.
