€0.17/kWh, so about 20 cents per kWh...  No idea why they are so extremely high..

Too bad, because I was really interested in mining, till those electricity prices kicked in Embarrassed

I live in The Netherlands by the way, the country where every thing's a bit more expensive   Sad

Its USD $0.11/KWH here in Nepal. It only costs $0.04/KWH if you spend less than 20KWH in a month.

I thought it might be neat to go around and share how much we all pay for electricity (or the equivalent at a hoster facility, etc)

I'll start:

11.0 cents / kWh    (Washington state)
In my country there are too types of charging of electricity. There are normal price which last from 07h to 00h, and in that period price is 0.08 dollar for kW, and from 00h to 07h price is a lot lower, around 0.02 dollar per kW. It is not that expensive, but if you do not have good hardware it will not pay off, even with this low prices.

That is very cheap. Here it is $0.10 if you use under 600ke and $0.16 if you go over 600 per kw. Crazy expensive. I still mine though. Not Bitcoin but some altcoins.

I think countries where everything is closer together would be cheaper since you don't have to have as much cable from house to house or electric box to electric box.

Normally For mining. power cost per 24h, 0.36 USD. You need to pay for mining pool fees from close to nothing up to 3% depending on the pool. Unless you want to do pool hopping you should go to a pool with hope protection and some places fees are also ridiculous and will not let you see the profit in mining.

I guess i am lucky, and people in my country  too. Could be that you are right when you say that further you are the more you pay for electicity. I am not sure if i can say this, because i do not know if it is good or bad, but our power-plant is about 20km from my house. We have some convenience,  but i guess there is polution too. But cheep electricity is always good to have.

In my country they do not charge for electricity because it is very complicated and labor intensive. I think that's the best thing that all miners want and I bought myself a Bitcoin digger

Hmm.. people quote prices without stating which country..

Quebec, Canada: 0.04 to 0.045 USD equiv per KW
You can negotiate witht he Hydro Quebec a better price if you are a heavy user company, down to 0.02 US Cents afaik

The price is really cheap, 2 cents for 1 kilowatt is very cheap especially if you are mining and lucky you about this.
In general the price is in average 10 cents per KWh but I have seen that in many countries it is up to 20 cents or more.
Currently I'm paying around 10-11 cents but it varies in which season we are and how much we consume.

All of you are very lucky to place in the very cheap electricity rate, and those of you has biggest advantage in mining method to earn big money in terms of bitcoin. Here in my country i think 0.1 USD per kw that is why i do not ever try to mine because most of my earnings was going to electricity provider and i do not get high return on that.

I am paying 0.12$ per kw. My rig is consuming 1200 kw/hour. It contains 5 rx 470 graphic cards. For monero I get only 1000 kw/hour
