We are charged at about N750/kW. (Lagos, Nigeria)

It also depends on the new meter being introduced. For me presently, I don't have the new meter yet from PHCN so, we have the estimated monthly bill of about N400 monthly. This is quite fair for now.
Here in India and Pakistan we pay huge bills because the officials are corrupt and they want to make money by sending huge bills to consumers. In these two countries the cost of electricity is in units. The higher the bill the higher you use the units.

If I use 200 units per month then I will have pay about 1500 rupees (15 dollars) including all the taxes. An ordinary house uses more than 300 units per month. Now can guess how much to pay.

It depends not only from country to country, prices in this particular area, but also on what power you are using your equipment. On average, out of about 0,04 $/kWh, I think

I thought it might be neat to go around and share how much we all pay for electricity (or the equivalent at a hoster facility, etc)

I'll start:

11.0 cents / kWh    (Washington state)

9.66 cents per KWH for residential and 9.98 for commercial here. Our house costs around $500 per month in the summer and $350 in the winter.
The office costs $4000 in the summer and $3000 in the winter.

Ok that’s a valid fact that prices always vary from place to place. In Asia mostly electricity is very expensive and other countries there are also countries that offer free electricity. And it also depends on your system requirements and how much you mine. I mine 24/7 so I have to pay to huge amount for electricity.

we all have a different rate by our country, here at my country, it rates $0.18 / kWh. i am a moderate user of electricity so i dont have any problem from the cost of my monthly bill. i just paying $10-$15 a month because i dont have many things (gadgets, appliances, light bulb) to consume much electricity. i am lucky because even we have to use much electricity, i continue control/manage my electricity bill to pay less than what bills i have last month.

How much more energy (or in $) does it cost to mine on a computer (CPU/GPU mining) per day/month?

I am about $0.08 cents a KWh but when the rest of charges on the bill are added in, distribution charges, meter fee, account fee, taxes, etc., it comes out closer to $0.10 a KWh.

I think for these comparisons to be meaningful people should be posting their effective costs which factor in all fees and not just the charge per KWh portion of the bill.

I'm working on the implementation of the technology of trigeneration of electricity. (with the enterprises of Gazprom)

There is a technology to generate power from the energy of the compressed natural gas. (the one which is transported by pipes from the field to the consumer). The cost of such electricity is 0,007 USD. In addition to this, during the production of electricity involved in the process very strongly cools (it's a side effect of a sharp extension). To transport the exhaust gas in the pipe, it must be heated (that is, you need to withdraw from it cold).

Based on this technology may create a technological platform for location DATA center which will consume the electricity, however the heat from the equipment will serve as a compensator of the cooled gas.

Simply put, we have a container with painted 600 kW/h of electricity and about 550 kWh of cold.

the cost of electricity 0,007 USD/kWh
Cold is considered to be a side effect so the cost of production of kWh is 0.

The introduction of this technology in coordination with Gazprom. Now looking for end user email.energy and disposed of the cold.

Consider logistics centers Freezer to store meat and fish, deep frozen.
Alternatively I thought that this platform is ideal for mining.
In the cryochamber is -80 degrees Celsius the volume of space approximately 5 000 m3. and 600 kWh of electricity

Calculate how much you can earn there money, given the dispersal and the cost of electricity in 0,007 USD

How do you think can I go with this theme in ICO??? In Russia these mini centres can host at least 6,000 objects. And the order 100 features a large (6 MW each). it's a whole industry. steeper than the Chinese will.

$0.06 Dubai Grin

Edit: $0.06 If you live in a Villa or house.. and $0.02 if you live in an apartment

We are paying 2,500 php every month. 1/4 part of my salary only goes for electric bills. That's too much for us. We are only four in the family. If we could only just move to a country with justifiable bills. There are different charges that we are paying and electric companies can't explain it for us!

Where I am the rate is about 10 cents/kwh in the summer and 7.5 cents after October. So you take a double hit mining during the summer but still not bad.

The electricity usage in your house was too high, just check your appliances and follow some tips of electricity provider in our country, because me i just paying Php800 - Php1,000 range in a month, i have an air con, refrigerator, 2x a week laundry using washing machine and 2 electric fans and the bill will not increase like your bill and my house also have 4 family members.
I think mate you should to double check the wiring or change all the outlets in your house for a new one, it will helps to reduce the consumption of electricity of your appliances.

The electricity cost is relatively very low where I live.
really, It is a very useful place for mining.
If the mining farm is built here it is possible to generate huge profit.
The price of per kwh is 0.03 to 0.07 cent.
But, in here the only major problem is the temperature. Temperature is very high in my country. If the temperature was less then I would have made a mining farm in my house.
And it will most definitely cost more if you are to buy some cooling gadgets to cool off the appliances which the cooling gadgets themselves will even use more power and you may still end up paying far more than you would have paid in a country with lower rate of electricity and cold temperature.

I guess that should even be my next target of country to relocate to soon. Grin

$0.033 per kwh at GigaWatt in Washington State

right now it's just 6 L3+'s but i have 14 D3's coming next month Cheesy

You're not being honest here because in order to get that price you needed to buy tokens, and 1 token was 1 dollar or more, so one L3 at 880w 880 dollars.

So you are spending much more than .0333 cents based on the opportunity cost of locking that profit up.  If you would have used the money to buy more miners instead of tokens and mine for a higher cost, it would work out more profitable.

I don't know the exact rates for electricity here, but I know it averages about $0.10/kwh and is far too high to make a huge ROI mining.
