This is a fun poll to see what people value. If a game show offered a choice of $50K but paid as Bitcoin, Gold or a new Corvette which would you choose?
I would actually choose bitcoin as many of the others have chosen. If it's gold or corvette it will just be kept aside and I won't be "using" gold as such, but with bitcoin I can do trading or buy stuff. |

This could be a trick question. What happens if this is a 2017 Z06 Corvette? That is around $85K USD. You could win that, sell it, and still get $50K worth of bitcoin. The extra $35K could go towards a new car or gold.  |

I would have to go with gold for now. We are not sure if bitcoin can sustain this upsurge for the next few years, while gold has proven itself to be valuable for a long time now. I can even leave that amount and just give to my children as inheritance.

Definitely not a new car tho, but if I *needed* a new vehicle, perhaps take a lil of both and put it into one =P

But what if you could sell the corvette for more then 50K. Then taking the vette makes the most sense like mentioned above. |

Knowing history of bitcoin so far is this even a question? FIAT is an obvious no, no. Corvette might be more expensive in the future - but only if you keep the car in pristine condition i.e. won't use it at all. Gold is OK - but it's price is rather stable, don't expect huge price spikes. With bitcoin you actually buy a lottery ticket and have chance you will become a millionaire in the future. |

Gold is good but in my condition given my current location selling gold is hard. And also many people will know that you sell your gold and that would threaten my security. So in my case i prefer bitcoin, since i can convert it to cash fast without travelling 1000 km away from home to sell gold or to find potential buyers for my car which is very difficult. I want easy money so I chose bitcoin because it is easy to convert to cash. |

Bitcoin ofcourse. The reason is simple. The price of bitcoin is more likely to rise than that of gold so it would be a wise choice I guess.

Nobody will choose the new Corvette. Why don`t you add real estate in the list? I would choose $50K paid as bitcoin or some real estate property. Do not be too sure of that, because there are a lot of Motor junkies out there, who would prefer to rather go for the Corvette and not to have to deal with gold or Bitcoin to buy that Corvette in the end any way. If you ask this question to the general public, that are not into Bitcoin.. they would first go for the gold first , and then the Corvette and lastly the Bitcoin. For most people learning anything new, is a daunting endeavour. |

I think you mean to say it will be worth 50% of its value when you drive it off the lot. |
