No.

MODS you can lock down this troll thread as the question has just been answered. Thank you.

A rhetorical question is a question that you ask without expecting an answer. The question might be one that does not have an answer. It might also be one that has an obvious answer but you have asked the question to make a point, to persuade or for literary effect.
Oh you can clearly forget question types, in particular rhetorical ones from the OP. He has a history of troll threads, one of which this is. So let's forget the semantics of questions in this case. But you knew that. Didn't you?!? Didn't you?Huh

"In a nutshell, the network works like a distributed timestamp server, stamping the first transaction to spend a coin. It takes advantage of the nature of information being easy to spread but hard to stifle." -- Satoshi

I agree Dino.. but Spartak doesn't he created more than 1 topic / comment that..
"There is nothing funny about the DAO hack"
Apparently i am suppose to feel sorry for the risky gamblers who partook in a pyramid scheme within a pyramid scheme for profits.

I'm curious do you support the Callers who phone people during the day running scams ?
I have had my home phone-line targeted by these guys for ages some douche bag Indians trying to scam me..
They pretend to be Rev-Can and say we are going to be sued by the govt so we better give them money !
So..
When you say you support pointless greedy scam coin shenanigans you might as well say you support phone scammers ripping off mostly the elderly.
Hell they even do it door to door here regularly too.
It's the same exact broken logic..

This stupid greed dipshitery has been good for one thing..
Making enough profit for 3rd world idiots online to make enough money for them to afford some shoes.
..because shoe ownership is a big deal in some countries.

So of course they are going to defend <anything> that give them profits.
Even if it is illegal immoral corrupt and self destructive and leaves a trail of victims to spit on.

Not funny ?
No fucking shit assholes.. where have you been for 3 years as i stick up for the vulnerable here ?
None of you care about the bag holders getting PWNED year after year.. i do i have been here sticking up for them all along.. far before you all showed up.
Trust me i have taken the abuse for sticking up for them all along too while you all sit in silence profiting off of New Shoes Coin..
Spare me the integrity dance.
I have been on the dance floor by myself for 3 years kidiots.

PS:
I am just jealous i did not make made ROI on insert name of flavor of the month hyped coin.
..as i have been told 1,000000000 times so it must be true right ?
or ?
Maybe i just have a shred of class & integrity ?
Makes ya think doesn't it ?
LOL
Of course it don't duh hahhahahha

@Spoetnik

You have clearly no idea on what you are talking about.

1. I created several threads about the DAO for a reason and I even said that it may hurt entire "cryptoworld", but you "laughed" at that statement. Let's talk with some numbers, can we?

The DAO attack was on 16 or 17 June, right? What was the aftermath?

a) Bitcoin's price has increased with about 20% in a week before the attack and it reached ~$785, a price which we haven't seen since early 2014. But what happened after the attack?

Bitcoin lost ~$230 of its value in 5 days. That's about ~34% decrease (and it's market cap decreased with more than $2.5Bn).

b) Litecoin lost ~$2.5 of its value for the same period. That's about ~40% decrease.

I'm not going to do more "calculations", but I'm sure that many other cryptocurrencies were screwed because of the DAO. The market got panicked and billions of $ were wiped out. So you are asking me if I defend the DAO and the "risky gamblers" who bought it?

No, I feel sorry for the poor guys who had bought/holded some Bitcoin/Litecoin (and many more), but you'll always fail to see that and the reason for this is pretty simple - you like the sound of your voice.

P.S. Bulgaria is one of the countries, which is flooded with phone scams and I can say that scammers here are "masters" at what they do. They call old people saying that their daughter killed someone in a car accident and she needs money to bail herself out and not be prosecuted, that their son got hurt na he needs money for a surgery. All kinds of scams...

Putting these stuff with the same quote with my name is an insult to me so I will only say this once. You should either finally realize my side or you can just fuck off.

Agreed. Any crypto hack or attack simply hurts the whole cryptosphere and discourages new and current investment.

Maybe, in its own funny way, the DAO blurp actually SAVED crypto from yet another hype bubble that was going to burst, and brought reason to the markets.  The worst that can happen, is yet another december 2013 bubble blowing.  The DAO took the heat off the stove before it started bubbling too much, maybe ?

I can somehow agree with that, but maybe is a guessing and the fiasco which followed the DAO attack was a fact. Bottom line is that I am more concerned about our common good rather than my potential $5 profit.

Me too, and the surge that surrounded all the ridiculous pump concerning the (in reality insignificant) bitcoin halving, could have led to another december 2013 bubble.  The DAO failure brought people somewhat back to their senses, that things CAN go seriously wrong in crypto too.

In any case I think bitcoin is way way too expensive right now compared to its real usage as a value transmitter and has become essentially a speculative token, not a thing people use a lot as a currency.

IM now reading post from several cryptos. I used to watch investments as proyects where people help a company to build things. Those things usually have a goal, and a return over the time for invs. As a new season it is good to have a watch into this world wich could be a part of a porfolio but Im reading know many many many folks.
Can anyone tell me what drived people to spend money into DAO?

Btw: I have heard VItalik speaking and he seems a ok guy (dont know about there promises etc.)

That quote of his completely invalidated any purpose of Ethereum existing at all...

not every one wants an purpose for ethereum that any criminal can take the coins and not punished. Some people want justice and vitalik understands that.

Lol. Forgive him this time but from what I can gather from reading his filthy outrageous diatribal postings Spoetniktards knowledge and intelligence of the English language is somewhat, shall we be kind and say, limited. I'd go so far as to say his mother was an early-birther. Of course you didn't argue, but please be prepared for the sudden emergence of his sick sockies put into play in a pathetic attempt to justify his original postings. I'm currently advising all posters to put him on ignore with due haste. In the meantime I'll continue calling out his lies and self-aggrandising agendas.

i know i was not directing that at you Wink

Ethereum is still coin no. 2,976 listed on centralized exchanges. (mass coin creation is damaging to all of crypto morons)
Worse it's an ICO.
That was manipulated badly on launch day and then far more later.. then hacked.

Not sure how much more scammy an ICO shitcoin you can have
and debate endlessly about it's blatant gimmick.. APP's (smart contracts)

No clue why you all care or why it used to be over $20 a coin or still even now $11
You all have no clue what you are doing.. you are simply propping up scam coins for profit.
What "it" is ..is 100% irrelevant.

The Vitalik have no other way but to come clean and bit by bit shift his promise to full centralizes system, what is fanny atm by what he plan to have next update he will kill the POW the miners which had major role in pumping his child

The DAO for sure hurted Bitcoin in short time but if DAO was a success and we sow or ethereum  in 50-100$ range the impact would be a lot worst when the scam start to fall

Still I don`t like ETH but I can not say that it generated a lot new users and investment in crypto, even with this ICO all around cash inflow should increase, just I hope no some major negative impact and on long run it should be ok for BTC and the rest of good alts

I am even holding a lot LBRY even if I am not found of premine, new ppl are welcomed even if they now don`t care for "decentralization and free world" but in time they will I am sure of it

I agree he should come clean.
Personally i want to know how much he dumped over & above what he already admitted to.
AND !
WHERE did he get the damn coins from !

You all sicken the living fuck out of me and blow me away with your scammy bullshit.
You all turn a blind eye to blatant scammy bullshit ..so you can make a tiny slice of the profit pie.

If Butters had no money when he launched the coin then *WHO* backed him with cash ?
Who was it buying the blocks of ETH non stop on launch in equal 100 BTC amounts non stop ?
What is with Coindesk's intense and severe long term involvement since 2014 ?

AND HOW IN THE FLYING FUCK DO YOU ALL TURN YOUR HEAD TO THIS BULLSHIT ?

Why does 1 guy in all of crypto have to point this shit out over & over ?

You people make me fucking sick.
There is 1 guy around Crypto that actually takes the time to remind you all of these "stunts' pulled.
The rest of you don't bring it up do you ?
Nope.. you're busy crying FUD and counting your cash and crying Troll.

And it will back fire on you eventually.. it ALWAYS does.
And i will be there AGAIN saying I TOLD YOU SO  ..and laughing at you  Cool

If the entire closet was opened up on Ethereum it would be hella nasty !
The raw manipulation that has gone on is blatant as it could possibly be.
We don't need him to admit fuck all.
But it would be the right thing to do.

Who is listed as a part of the ICO SCAM COIN "Team"
What fancy schmantzy little titles do they all have ? CTO CTFO ?
And how much were all those figure heads paid and for what ?
And where does the money come from when it launched with none ?
Where did all the money come from to pay "the team" ?
How is it Butters had MILLIONS of dollars in ETH coins yet has never said HOW he got them ?

Why was the ICO launched and mining tacked on later instead of waiting to launch etc ?

Was is it i am literally the only person in all of crypto that has asked these questions since 2014 when i launched a scam coin topic on these fuckers and they were caught red handing scamming ?

FUD first & ask questions later™
