Apple has announced that the iPhone 7 will enable bitcoin payments and hints that Ethereum may be next. One of the phone’s apps for its growing messaging system will be Circle, a peer-to-peer payment program that utilizes bitcoin along with traditional fiat currencies.

The announcement came shortly before the bitcoin price endured another impressive spike. Now sitting past $620, analysts are projecting that bitcoin is again rising to $680, and will do so without strain. The addition of bitcoin to the phone is also slated to increase usage throughout certain parts of the world, including China.

I used Circle for the first time a while back. After I downloaded the app it took me quite some time to find the Bitcoin bit.

I got the feeling Circle were positioning themselves as more of a p2p fiat rail these days. Is there an official mention of Bitcoin related to this?

I have been browsing through the latest Apple event video, but I haven't found a part where it says that Circle will be implemented. If you Google on Apple Circle, then you'll only see Bitcoin/crypto related sites reporting about it.

Too bad no sensible Bitcoin user is an iPhone fan, this is just Apple's way of trying to piggy back on cryptonerds and get their sales up. Sorry, but we're already sold on Android, move along.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

This is the source of this news http://www.scmp.com/tech/apps-gaming/article/2016359/apples-imessages-will-be-more-visual-i0s10
I'm excited to see how the iMessage will work with bitcoin and how easy will it be to use it, it might be easier but the circle app does it job well too.
