Hello, i'm a newbie on eth mining.

I bought Sapphire 470 4Gb Reference because I want flashing with Oakheart's or Boysie's roms. When I checked in with GPU-Z, it has a memory chipset from Elpida, while the Oakheart's and Boysie's roms is from Hynix.

I have searched on internet but have not found a modified rom for Sapphire 470 - Elpida memory. Can anyone here who can modify it or show me the way what must i edit to modify it? The target is 28-29 MH for single eth mining as oakheart and boysie roms.

This backup of the original roms: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1_9MOwzVXZwdExYZy1IUE9rTGc/view
Oakheart roms : https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/8845/rx-470-mining/p11
Boyisie roms : https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/9533/28mh-470oc-nitro-4gb-boysie-rom-dual-mining

Thanks

You should increase your hashrate to 27Mhash with a simple copy of memory timings from 1500 or 1750 strap to 2000.

How about other parameters such as GPU, Powertune, Memory, and also other timing. Leave it default??

Timing straps before 1375 is also different with Hynix.

https://s21.postimg.org/kc5c7qc6f/2016_09_28_203944.png

Elpida : 200, 400, 800, 1000, 1250, 1375, 1425, 1500, 1625, 1750, 2000
Hynix : 400, 800, 900, 1000, 1125, 1250, 1375, 1425, 1500, 1625, 1750, 2000

Where is timing strap should I change in my rom file.. Just 1375, 1500, 1625, 1750, 2000 and leave others (200, 400, 800, 1000, 1250, 1425) with default value??

Today I tried to copy 1500 value to 1625, 1750 and 2000. The others left as is. The result is hashrate increased from about 22.5 MH to about 25.3 MH.

What should I change again to further increase hashrate to 28 or 29 MHS ??

You can try 1625 or even 1500 strap for 2000 but not set high memory clock in bios! Only in WattTool after system starts.
And check for memory errors in hwinfo64 ... If there will be huge amount then better not to use so hard settings.

Looking for a stock rom for a sappire 470 reference with micron memory.

I pulled the stock rom with GPUz, instead of ATIWinFlash.  The file size is smaller, and I think this lead to the flash going poorly.

At least this is what I've been able to come up with by reading multiple postings on this and other sites.  Any insight welcome...  Grin

BIOS size is not a problem, the last 256KB are FF padding.
I've flashed cards with different ROM size without any problem

I've not had issues with other cards, too, but with this one I have. Not sure what else to try. Need to get back to stock somehow.

Your rom does not work for a 'reference' card, only the NITRO.  I did not catch the card difference at first...  This thread is for the 'reference' design.  Luckily, i was able to flash back  Cheesy
