Notifications on thread replies

Recently I had problems with receiving e-mail notifications on the new thread replies and theymos admitted he had disabled (or something) that function when dealing with the recent DDoS attack. Now I am sometimes receiving notifications, but it seems it is random. I have deleted all the threads from my watchlist, and I have clicked the notify button on all of them - nothing. Anyone else with the same problem?
