May be price will get dumped just like the way it had in past when vitalik sold his 25% of holding for world tour and to cover last blockchain consensus expenses. They may dump even large for this event too, i am thinking to open shorting order on margin.

It is possible that the big whales are just accumulating the Ethereum. So they suppress the price to get more. |

I tried shorting ETH twice because my 'signals' were hit, but both trades were unprofitable. ETH has shown quite a bit of resilience despite all the negative press and the challenges that the Ethereum Foundation has gone through after the DAO hack and the hard fork. So recommending getting a short position on ETH might not be good advice at this point.

That is right. The Monero and Rippple price has dropped a lot recently. But the Etheruem price is still very strong. |

ETH seems pretty stable at this point.
The fact that Coinbase has started to accept it probably means it will be around a while, I think.
Once a big company accepts a coin I think that's the first major step to becoming a legitimate payment option.

It is almost a month after Devcon 2 and nothing is happening with the price of ETH. So this concludes that there is no effect on the price despite the good presentations done in Devcon 2. The more encouraging signs for Ethereum would be the millions of $ that are now in the platform because of the success of 2 or 3 Ethereum based ICO.

I can see a drop in price with time especially around December when investors will be taking stock of their portfolio and again the on going spam attack is really reducing investors trust per day |
