I think that it's pretty obvious that USD is used in illegal activities cause every currency can be used to do illegal activities, Well everyone is free to use money so that's why.

I'm not sure why you would single out USD from the rest. The dollar is available pretty much everywhere, anyone can convert their local currency to dollars. Using the dollar is exactly the same as using any other currency. Sure it is being used for illegal activities worldwide but that shouldn't come as a surprise, after all it is the single most recognizable currency in the world. If you're seeing more and more articles about the USD being used for illegal activities it just means that crime rate in general is going up.

indeed i think it's being used for illegal activities as much as the pound, dinar, peso and others. it's just that the dollar is more widely seen in movies and tv and other media articles. although i don't think the question here is singling out the dollar among other currencies. it's just asking if the dollar, as with other currencies, is used for illegal activities which the answer is obviously yes

It seems to me like you're answering the question from the header directly, did you read the opening post of this thread? If not, do read it, it is obvious that he is singling out the dollar. Anyway my point was that it doesn't matter which currency is being used for criminal activities, they're all connected and they're all instances of the same thing, money.

USD have been used for illegal activities since it was born. 
They use gold back then and it make them tired because of the heaviness of this things. So they created paper to make it light but with the value of a gold being attached.

History just repeats itself over and over again it is just the currency that changes.

I see more and more articles of the USD being used for illegal activities, such as funding of terrorists and unconstitutional, illegal wars, funding of wars that cause severe infringement of civil liberties like /2012/12/06/opinion/branson-end-war-on-drugs/]the war on drugs, among other things. I am pretty sure that when goons smash into convenience stores and steal stuff, then the money they probably steal is USD, which makes it criminal currency. Also, I am pretty sure that the baseball bats that majority of the goons have bought were paid for by the USD.

Also, most people collect rain water, drink raw milk, and throw cannabis seeds in soil, all three acts which are considered serious illegal felonies punishable by seriously expensive fines and extensive jail time, possibly life in prison.

Some people also walk, drive, fish, or hunt without a permit that can easily be bought for in USD.

No, it's not going to be banned, and I can assume that this thread is being said because people say the same about bitcoin. USD and bitcoin are very similar in the sense that both can be used for good and bad reasons, however, bitcoin is pseudonymous and can issue remote transactions, where USD cash is anonymous and all other forms of USD transfer (wire, check, credit card, PayPal, ect.) is anything but anonymous (which is one reason why the government might hate bitcoin).

Another thing different in the eyes of the government is that USD can be seized, although in the US (thanks to the 4th amendment of the constitution) it is somewhat hard for the government to seize money (or anything else).

It's first time in this forum someone opened a thread if fiat money, USD, GBP, Euro does not matter, are used for illegal activities. I believe that all people, maybe only the very young ones they know that fiat money is the most favorable way for criminals to do their transactions. If someone listen media and journalists when they express their opinion about bitcoins the first thing they say is that it's used mainly for illegal activities and some they say that must be banned. I wonder before 2009 where the genesis block mined had ever anyone asked to ban fiat money? I am eager to learn.

Yeah this is what I'm thinking also because many people are talking about US' support to the terrorist, I guess this conspiracy is real. Look at those countries where US backed up, Syria, Iraq and other countries where war started. All of them where terrorized by the United States government and that's why their currency is becoming powerful.

USD is a powerful currency and they can do anything with their money, that's already stated before that most terrorist are funded by big countries and since USA is a big country they might be one of those who funded. Everything is being used for illegal activities even if it is currencies or not. For easier trades, most of the people choose currencies to involve in illegal activities. In the future, Bitcoin will be soon used for illegal purposes such as USD is being used right now.

Common sense tells us that syndicates and criminals does illegal activities so they can earn money. Well that money is of course the fiat currency we are using right now. In the united states of America if you are watching movies you will see how US dollars are being used to buy weapons, drugs, pay the mercenaries and everything. If you have lots of US dollars aside from purchasing or doing trades in the black market you can also watch porn online and offline.

But please take note that the government prohibits the use of US dollars in any form of malicious and illegal activities. If you can use your money in a legal and moral way then it is the right thing to do.
