What I am doing as I have 0 miner hardwares just yet, is hitting particular altcoin faucets, especially the lower cooldown period ones and working for a couple hours or so a day to trade somewhere, such as Poloniex for parts of a bitcoin per trade.

Some good coins I found for the moment, I am sorry, but I can't spill, I work on faucets to secure them in a local wallet or so and soon exchange them. I need to see what happens. Sure, they may be smal pieces of single coins, but you do know already, I hope, that it all keeps adding up.

I am not sure why you are targeting altcoin faucets.

- Moreover, why you are using faucets. They are very low in reward-time ratio. Instead of this, I suggest to do find any freelance jobs / micro jobs for bitcoin earning.

- Still if you prefer, just check your altcoin faucet earning are greater than bitcoin value of 100 satoshi as we could find may bitcoin faucets with guaranteed payment of 100 satoshi payment.

- Yobit exchange where you could get bunch of free altcoins daily, but most of them not even 10 satoshi equivalent. Still they come without captcha (when I checked few months back, not sure about now).

IF you're using a great faucet rotator, and a fast typer, i guess you could do 100 faucets/hour (36 seconds per faucet)...
10 hours of faucetting * 100 faucets/hour = 1000 faucet claims per day.

I've seen some faucets giving you 500 satoshi's per claim, but most seem to be a lot lower... Let's assume you've built the perfect rotator, and you can claim 1000 faucets @ 500 satoshi's => 10 hours of working, and you've "earned" 500.000 satoshi's = 0.005BTC = 3 USD at current preev rate!!!

I've done the math about altcoin faucets in the past, and most of them actually pay less than bitcoin faucets (after trading the altcoin to btc).

Added during my last edit:
As a conclusion: unless you live in a country where minimum wage is less than 3 bucks a day, you're better off applying for a job delivering pizza's or working in Mcdonalds. You'll probably make more each hour than you'll make with a full day of faucetting.

Just my personal opinion tough.

Which is basically not worth it almost no matter what country you live in. You don't want to fry your brains for 3 usd.

If I were TS I would simply buy a small fraction of bitcoin so I could get my testing done ASAP. You are acutally losing potential money by delaying the process now.

The purpose of a faucet is to learn how to use blockchain technology and digital wallets/keys/currency for the first time.  Once you understand it after a couple of payments the learning is done.

If you live in a 3rd world country and have marketable skills you should advertise them in the marketplace section - the rewards are magnitudes better than a faucet.

If you live in a place where digital currency can be bought with fiat then doing your regular job is just easier/more rewarding.

Earning from claiming from faucets could be enough for experiment at first to know how bitcoin works and how to securely store, exchange or even to do trading. But i think you also understand earning from faucets only can't make more than a bitcoin or even near to that amount. Good luck, hope you can earn good amount by trying crypto trading, offering your services, working as developer for bitcoin related scripts etc.

yeah, sure the purpose of faucet was what you said back in 2010 when you could claim 5BTC and play around. right now the main purpose of faucets is to generate a very tiny income for the owner and waste a lot of time of the users who are using them and make a lot of dust in their wallets.

faucets are used by newbies for a month or less untill they realise that they can't earn nothing with them, so they move on and eventually find this forum and join a signature campaign or they give up completely.

Need some spare btc for a new PC that can at least run Adobe Dreamweaver.

Trust me, u can better utilize your time than faucet farming. Look at various aspects of CryptoCurrency and try to explore.

I agree with you. Collecting satoshi on faucets is really wasted your time and it's not very worth. You will realize it soon. Even you do the faucets until 10 hours, you only earning up to $1. My advice is stop using faucets and do some little task, it's more worth.

correct, even me started from faucet when i knew about bitcoin for the first time but i soon realized that i am just wasting my time so i searched for more ways to earn btc. i understand some users that is only starting with faucet but if they are old enough in crypto world but still do faucet they are fools in my view

That is not the main purpose. The purpose of a faucet is instructional - to teach people how to use digital wallets and understand basic principles of blockchain technology.  Once you get your first couple of deposits and can see them on explorer you should quit.

Some people will never stop doing stupid things. Somewhere out there somebody is eating soup with a fork. If they want to do that with their time so be it. If somebody wants to collect pennies from around vending machines so be it. If somebody wants to feed of faucets....
