Explore cryptonight algo coins. On such legacy hardware it gives the best profit, i dunno what about electricy because i've got some free, but mine 1Gb 7850 gives me approx $0.7/day on different coins, just monitor their exchange rate, or setup for monero and "forgot" for few months.

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Well, the easiest solution I found to use and forget (1 - 2 years to get 1 BITCOIN?  Grin ) is

https://faucethub.io and BITCOIN MINER SOFTWARE working at the same time.

Perhaps there are better free solutions?
And are there instructions on how to build a GPU rig?

you need to mine monero if you have amd and zcash if you have nvidia and thats it altho eth rising quite nice recently so maybe we enter another golden age soon.
