I encountered decred several months ago. I was really impressed by their aims, but after seeing their wallet I was immediately put off. It is clunky and very hard for most people to use. They should at least have some kind of web wallet.
Strange that many devs don't seem to realise how much more support they would get with a simple, easy to use wallet.
Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.
