Just looking at my Awesome Miner monitor and noticed one of my S9's was running much hotter than the others.

Upon close inspection, my exhaust fan was only spinning at 1500 RPM's. I checked the fan speed in the browser and tried rebooting. No luck.

If the fan is the same in the S7 I will pull an exhaust fan off of one of those. If not, I guess I'll be ordering a fan. Sad But I think they're the same.
Am I right?

THANKS!! Smiley

Ok then. The S7 and S9 are the same as I thought. I had just looked on the Bitmain Warranty site and they list the fan as S5, S7, and S9. So I'm good. I just pulled an exhaust fan from one of my collecting-dust S7's.

(When the BTC price hits $2500 per coin, I'll plug the S7's back in. Smiley LOL Grin Grin Grin Grin )

Thanks for the reply!

(Amazingly I'm in a GREAT mood even with a dead fan because I was just offered an IT job I wanted so badly today!!! Smiley  )

Edit: Just put the fan on. Works like a charm!

The same.   Ordering the same ones I used to replace my S7 to replace my S9's  (only one has failed so far for S9's).

Only S7 that is a exception to this is the S7-F1, but there are not a ton of these out there compared to regular ones.  But S7-F1 was a one fan edition with a higher RPM fan in front.

But you were able to add a fan to it on back.   Going into summer I had added one to back (it was a regular S7 fan on back not high RPM).   But I have to admit I was surprised how well the S7-F1 did on cooling.  It had a design where you counted on 1 fan, which is not the greatest but as far as cooling it did really good for me at least.
