( I hold zcash as well as zcoin ) a legal and registered exchange in USA like Gemini . How was it possible for Gemini to have zcash approved with the scc? Is it possible zcash now isn’t fully private ?
Zcash isn't fully private, there are 2 types of addresses in Zcash, T addresses and Z addresses, T addresses can be viewed on the blockchain and are transparent, the other type (Z addresses) are not view-able on the blockchain and so the funds would then be private. I think at the moment gemini only has support for the transparent type of addresses. Unlike monero where all transactions are private it's kinda like privacy and anonymity in Zcash is optional. This is probably how they were able to get listed on gemini. Monero supporters cry about it but how can a fully regulated exchange exchange list something that is fully anonymous? Someone please correct me if my information on the tech is wrong. |

My understanding is that they are going to be researching it. However, no definite plans on an algo change are out yet. If you plan on going to Z9 route, you have a good chance that you won't be buying a brick by the time you get delivery. However, I am not sure you will have long to mine with a GPU since the 1st Z9 batch starts shipping in June, I believe. |

ZCash needs dramatically more friendly software and places that actually do shielded transactions. Sept 2018 is quite a ways out and ZEC is very uninteresting for now.

what's going on with ZEC ? I really want to invest this coin for long time but it seems ZEC is being down at all do you think if I should invest it now or wait for a while . |

i like this coin, but its strange that it doesnt moving in price so much. It could be easly worth 3000$, but just going nowhere,...?

First and foremost, that means that there's a lot of ZEC coming in diluting the pool. Value is not created out of thin air, those $2 million per day are largely substracted from the value of all other coins. |
