I don't claim to be the new dev, but I'm happy to help out with tech stuff, and with the old thread quietly closed I thought we should get one started. If we're really lucky, maybe Mister Peepcoin will poke his head in.

There are still gaining interest of buying PCN at coinexchange, maybe because wallet is still running and this indicates the coin is not yet dead literally. Perhaps maybe building a new registration website that filters real I.P., let old peep community comes along again, grab very, very cheap coins for doge, then a swap with limitation. A new dev team is necessary in here. Just a shallow opinion but still possible i guess.

ONE BILLION PEEPCOIN GIVEAWAY

I've decided to give away 1,000,000,000 of my own funds as a staking bonus.  

How to participate:

1. Every block that stakes will automatically receive an extra 10,000 PCN from my wallet. To stake you need a non zero balance, and to keep your wallet open so it can generate stake blocks.
2. If you don't have any PCN, you can buy some very cheaply at https://www.coinexchange.io/market/PCN/DOGE . There are other exchanges listed in the OP at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1628121.0 . I recommend a balance of at least 1,000,000 PCN (which will cost you something like 40 DOGE), but the higher your balance, the better your chance at minting a stake block.
3. Keep your wallet open and wait for it to stake; your reward should follow shortly after each stake.
4. The staking bonus will continue until the prize pool funds are exhausted. (If we reach this point then perhaps others could donate additional funds.)

Exceptions:

1. Stakes by my own client are not rewarded (ie the entire 1 billion PCN will be sent to other people)
2. Only one reward per hour per address.
3. Stakes of huge amounts (greater than 100 million PCN) will not be rewarded.
4. I reserve the right to blacklist an address from rewards if I think the wallet may belong to an exchange, or the original dev. I want these coins to go to individuals.

Promotion is now live, and as I write this, the remaining prize pool is 999,890,000 PCN

Came across an interesting screencap today. This is from the megacrypton wallet:



This shows two things:

1. The address PULiGrvG9SbYkknxkGvhCDAhu7zDBUSh13 , which was mentioned in the old thread, really is a megacrypton deposit address for the original dev, just as I suspected. (gajonois is his account name). Not really a big surprise, but for those who were active in the old thread it's absolute proof, rather than just "strong evidence"

2. Megacrypton appears to be staking peepcoin deposit addresses, but (as far as I can tell) are not passing on the funds to the users that made the original deposit. I think this is pretty unfair for a coin which has 100% p/a interest.

... but the cool thing is that the 10000 bonus giveaway amount DOES get credited to your Megacrypton account every time their wallet stakes with your original deposit!

So if you have a PCN balance at Megacrypton (eg open sell orders), check your account, because your balance should have grown a bit.

Nice to know that it is making a comeback but it's much better if it can be traded on Yobit,traders like to pump this kind of coin,do you have a plan to burn some of the coins their is a huge supply,anyway I hope you can keep up

Hmm, looks like megacrypton is still manually approving deposits, and you have to specifically ask for them to do it - they won't do it otherwise.

My megacrypton deposit address has staked and been rewarded 135 times since I started the reward promotion, but my balance on the exchange still shows as zero.

So first check your deposit history for recent deposits of 10000 PEEPCOIN, which are the rewards, then ask in chat or in a ticket for them to approve the PEEP deposits. Your balance will not be credited unless you ask. Imagine having to call a bank to ask them to credit the $500 you gave to a teller yesterday?

(I wasn't aware of megacrypton staking until recently, so I didn't know that my deposit address was getting those rewards. One of the promotion rules is that I don't send reward funds to myself, so I have blacklisted that address.)

They tell us it's a security measure but people will think especially the first time users that there is something wrong in their system,it should be automatically credited,just a waste of time if you keeps sending support that you deposit .

Yeah, I don't understand it myself. There's too much potential for mistakes causing funds to be 'lost', especially in a situation like this where accounts are being sent unsolicited PEEP deposits as a promotion. People may never know their balance has increased. It's also strange how there's no warning indicating that a deposit showing as "Confirmed" needs to be manually approved.

Customers should not need to audit their deposit history and then ask to have any missing funds credited.

looks like this coin is going nowhere megacrypton is not a big exchange and yet they delisted it,why not send it to yobit,they are not delisting coin it's safe there,while you are rebuilding the community,anyway goodluck to this coin  you'll need lot of work to get it going.

I think it's long been dead,every effort to prolong it's  life proves to be futile,it started on a wrong foot,scamming is very much attach to this coin so better look to a much better coin than invest on peepcoin,peepcoin is a big lesson learn when it comes to investing.
