It is not Ripple asking in here to give them their Bitcoins for destruction - it is you.  If you want to upgrade Bitcoin, join the core dev team.

This offering does not destroy bitcoins.

This is a Regulation S offering for an enterprise of high capability.

Of all my (non-virtual) friends, only one will entertain a Bitcoin discussion.

I will continue to entertain the discussion here, but it should not affect the offering.

Send them a resume and try not to mention anything about your desire to burn Bitcoin while upgrading it.

I received a reply. They said I could start pushing to fix issues in the issues section. I don't do open source and already have a code base for a final product.

I'm going to let Bitcoin ride and step in with a new git if need be.

The problem now is cash. This fundraise has to be successful. It's the only legitimate offering out right now.

I guess its legitimacy will be discovered in the success of the fundraiser.
Maybe you could do open source in your down time to hone your skills and give your CV a boost at the same time.

You are right. I need to hone in. My work got left on the table and I need to compile it into one platform.

My skills are sharp enough that I can produce a standalone platform with many functions. I have backing. I need funding here. Regardless of my protocol views, I can return definitely for investors by law alone. Again, this is the only legitimate offering in cryptocurrency right now. Last time I got strung along and mined because I did not have proper funding.

I have received several criticisms about my tone, intentions, and ability.

I used "I" statements in the founder's story for a reason. A founder's story indicates connection, and, in this case, legal capital. An employee from Ripple Labs decided my legal capital disqualifies me from a forum. Legal capital is the greatest predictor of success of an enterprise. I have stated facts, not adjusted my tone to suit the offering.

My intentions are not to be good or bad for Bitcoin. My intentions are to produce long term returns for investors of this specific enterprise.

My abilities are adequate for producing a platform that will suit the needs of adapters for several years. I don't pretend to know what people should or should not do. I put my assets on the table. That is all.

Why are people still falling for this? It's the same formula over and over again. Vitalik Buterin is committing theft and fraud.

And wtf is up with this? Why does Augur think it's legitimate?

I have some features in mind for Bitcoin 2.0 and a rough architecture.

Since Ripple Labs never granted me when it was the company's best interest to do so, hurt Peercover several times, and discriminated against me, I decided to fork three Ripple gits for Bitcoin 2.0.

I don't actually care that much about Bitcoin 2.0 but I know the ideal in terms of features and functionality.

I could spec Bitcoin 2.0 in the gits and hope some developers show up.

I don't know how much the original Ripple code base will help, only suspect we could transform it into what Bitcoin needs. I do believe I have a role here since I have some intellectual property and legal indicators that Ripple Labs owes me money. Who knows, they might pay me first and annul this proposition, or I could raise enough money to sue properly instead.

Are you serious?  Fancy graphics and the promise of social networking.. you'd be a fool to bypass this investment!

Yes. I am a programmer and engineer. Matthew raided Peercover. Jack left Peercover with him. I developed the Peercover platform and intellectual property used by Augur (model). I did not agree with its use and conversion to an ICO. I think the Augur Foundation (Canadian) is a bad cloak for business that is not legal under U.S. law since the project's founders are American.

Ripple Labs claims to have signed partnerships with big banks around the world. To my understanding, banks will have internal ledgers and may do settlements between each other on the Ripple Consensus Ledger using the Interledger Protocol. From my experience, Ripple Labs has made marketing claims with little technical infrastructure before: i.e. Codius. So, I'm not sure how it will all play out. I do know there is a possibility to capture mainstream adaption from consumer banking.
