I looked into the Hindi Translations of various ANN threads and most of them are translated using Google Translator.
These guys get money from the Coin devs. Isn't this cheating?

Not only is it cheating, it is against the rules as well. Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ ...
27. Using automated translation tools to post translated content in Local boards is not allowed.

This is very sad indeed. If any are found, please do report or flag with the dev sponsoring the activity.
I have received few requests thus far, from people requesting the translations validated and till date, there have been very very few that are genuine.

Tough to anything about these, especially in the Alt Coins Section unless the developers request the same. We have no idea, if they are comfortable with the end result of the translation. |

A couple of weeks ago I read some saying, "Any translation bounties? I can quickly translate the OP using Google translator." So innocent in a sense. Probably thinks that different languages are just the same as his language, but only different words. And that the way something is spelled in Spanish, would be exactly the same as in English, just have to translate the words.
Edit: I didn't want to say that the person was stupid and used the word innocent. To think that something so easy to do is going to warrant a good bounty is just stupid. To think that he's actually providing a service and helping is so stupid.

ICONOMI is giving as high as $2000 for one translation. These guys who translated (not all of them) using Google Translator are getting free money and would dump the coins even for a 2X return. How did you identified that its google translated?

These cheaters should be banned Immediately.. It is not only cheating with the dev and the company you are working with but you are cheating and scamming with all those deserving people who want to do translaiton work and want to do their self.
I am also a translator and now I am feeeling very bad.

This thing is disappointing, because ICONOMI and many other ICOs allocate the biggest part of bounties to the translations, therefore I think translators must work hard to make the local thread worth reading, but some people don't matter and they want to get money without spending time or effort, however I am not Hindi, and I checked my native langugae thread and found it perfect . I would like to say that not all translations are made by google translaor. |

the problem here is the devs cannot verify the accusation are true or not and they wont bother or spend too much time to verify that unless and until a reasonable amount of people complain about the translation. still you can voice your concern in the tread. |

I also pointed this out in various ANN threads of these coins.These translations are full of ambiguities and doesn't makes a sense.To prevent this I took it upon myself and have translated Nodio's ANN thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1671963 Plese everycheck and inform me if there is any room for improvement.I didnt use Google translator |
