Price is dumping quite significantly, any rumors behind this or just shaking weak hands? I'm guessing the latter.

The latter. They might not be able to provide a bootstrap, but really, nothing about this project is more important than the tech.

If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.

The development team should try to contact the Korean and Japanese markets, the two countries have a very large bitcoin trading volume. Will contribute to the development of zcoin    Trading volume is too concentrated in btc38

I realized I get way better hashrate using my CPU than my graphics card which is great, it's really hard to find coins that are CPU mining friendly these days and once MTP is implemented hopefully Zcoin will get more attention.

I 've tried with an Intel i3 7100T @3.40 Ghz ( 4-threads, not sure if it's quad core too),  and it mines at 280 KH/s , while a GTX 1080 is about 2x faster but it consumes 180/200 W while an i3 consumes like 70 W if i'm right, it's like 1/3.
EDIT: i was wrong, it consumes 35W ( http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/489/Intel_Core_i3_i3-7100_vs_Intel_Core_i3_i3-7100T.html )

So my CPU has better performance/consumption ratio BUT not better hashrate.

Maybe you tried with an i7 and it outperforms even a 1080 ?

Which processor did you try and what hashate did you get ?

I would like to see some hashrate comparison on ZCoin, not easy to find.

Especially CPU comparisons would be interesting

Hi,
I was waiting for the price to drop. I believe this coin has a good future: its MCap is 10x less than its competitors, and it should not be the case.

Anyway...I am in now :-)

I get 350 Kh/s with a laptop's i7-4702MQ , I tried mining with an old R9 280x GPU and only got around 260 Kh/s.

If anyone wants to see how Zerocoin transactions look like on the blockchain:

Check out a sample mint transaction where 50 coins go into a blackhole.
http://explorer.zcoin.io/tx/b827e91bee75e4abae8590206b088f05f6b9c563dc56e5e71c42da9523ebcccd
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xzc/tx.dws?b827e91bee75e4abae8590206b088f05f6b9c563dc56e5e71c42da9523ebcccd.htm

This is a sample spend transaction where 50 coins come out from the blackhole and have no linkage with its mint transaction or any history at all.
http://explorer.zcoin.io/tx/d75cd4bfae85bc278900eb4728f71eedea1dec2a16d3f18551dfcd43b413ac07

The point is that the 50 coin from the Zerocoin spend transaction could have come from any of the people who minted 50 coins giving it very high anonymity.

Is there any news about new exchanges ..? When I see the volume of Bittrex for a high quality altcoin! Even if I think the volume will eventually arrive on bittrex, it would be interesting that Zcoin is listed on other exchanges. Binance could also be a good opportunity!

Indeed they can. But it's primarily about volume.

I believe we are still at the beginning of the journey.
With the full integration of MTP, this coin still has much to demonstrate !
So we expect so many great satisfactions from Zcoin

Yes, and for having volume, you have to implement the MTP technology.
All the market is waiting since months and months to make XZC bigger and bigger in volume and price.

When MTP will be implemented to XZC ?
