I'm afraid that with crippled algo and growing hashrate of botnets this coin has no bright future.
The price is already going down.

There are still mining more than 900 worker suprnova.cc and more than 400 on pool.mn. This Coin will have his time...i'm for sure. its mostly the same with new coins. after 1 to 2 week the price goes down because some miners are selling there coins.

But as you have said, the algo and the hashrate are big problems for tiny miners like us.

I agree. mining this coin is now not enough to supply in the market . no premined , No ICO , and the volumn of Zcoin is not much
so the price will rise in next time . I think it will be second ETH instead

zcoin was already forked from scrypt-n cause gpu asic farm were mining and community ask only cpu.
Now you ask go back to gpu to allow nicehash to point thousand MH on zcoin and let us small miner with only 10-15 gpu get peanuts?
No thanks.

Still more profitable than SIA dual mining so not going to complain just yet.

Well, if your worker isn't shown on the dashboard that also means you get no payout as there is no hash on the pool Smiley

Try to look at the "My Workers" page if the hashrate is displayed there.

No. I look at my machine. it's working well and it shows shares accepted as normal but it's not shown on dashboard.

Now it's shown again after I made a notice above

I noticed the same but the pool found no block during that period. Then shows the share when it found the next block.

Is this relevant to the 2048 RSA number used for the trusted setup:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/10/09/crypto_needs_more_transparency_researchers_warn/

Also, this doesn't inspire much confidence:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/12/21/nsa_paid_rsa_10_million/

And from the comments:

That's not really very much. You can do that in less than an hour on AWS for around $200,000. There are more cost-effective ways to do it, but if your target is worth that much to you then it's pretty easily done.

Thanks. Can you answer my earlier question as well:

I've heard that multisig transactions are impossible using the zero knowledge proofs of either zcash or zcoin, and this will significantly affect the privacy of both (if everyone uses the "clearnet" token, then who cares if there is an anonymous sub-token), since, monero for instance will soon allow ringsig multisig after ringct is implemented. Is this true? Multisig impossible with zcash or zcoin anon tokens?

This seems quite important, since at the moment private currency seems to equate with DNMs, and while I think most still use escrow, the ideal is that people would use multisig. If private multisig txs are impossible with zerocoin or zerocash, doesn't this hamper their utility quite a bit?

Multisig transactions actually are possible with Zerocoin.

"The Founders Reward will be given to early investors, developers, and Zcoin community members. We also have bounties for various tasks, such as Zcoin core development, web development, graphic design, marketing, ect. If you'd like to help out, please email or message us on Slack."

It's still hefty...  Is most of this going to Ver?
