whre is GPU miner? any news on this ?

If all goes well within the next 2-3 days.

Could it possibly take longer so I can get the CPU miner working and than mine this with my CPU for a bit before the difficulty gets blown up?

cpuminer.exe -a lyra2rev2 -o stratum+tcp://xzc.suprnova.cc:5596 -u cjmapope.1 -p x -t 4 -q    ----- change info for your own worker

what the problem is?   is super straight forward command....   you can get the miners from the slack, their pinned to #mining.. both of them...
cause honestly when you say "it dosent work" that helps nothing Sad give us some info maybe a screenshot i bet we can help you get running Smiley
almost guaranteed your just making a simple mistake Smiley

Setting up CPU miner should take 10 minutes. Difficulty is already blown up anyways. I dont know what kind of setup you have, but I'd guess youd make 0.5 XZC per day at most.

in supernova it shows ./ in front of cpuminer, and without the .exe

I tried to write the .BAT like you have it before and it did not work that time either. Only difference now is that "-t 4 -q" lines. I am on a 12 thread CPU so I should be able to use -t 4, but it still did not run. The window closes before I can even read anything on the window. I even now just tried it with your worker and the same result.

I can take your post as confirmation that supernova still works and that the pool isn't the problem. I decided to re extract the zip from inside my safe folder where windows defender won't mess with it and the .bat still doesn't do anything but instantly close

I do not have enough GPU's to mine up 30 DCR to begin PoS mining fast enough, and NiceHash out ZEC for BTC earnings as is. If I can get even just 3 ZXC before the GPU mining than I can feel assured I procured something good if this takes off, probably after ZEC gets dumped to oblivion.

That's how you would run the command if you were on Ubuntu or any other Linux OS. Can you paste your whole command?

Suprnova seems down for me right now also, wouldn't cause your miner to error out.

There is a big pump before Zcoin is listed on polo in next month and The price will rising quite highly.
Zcoin will be hottest coin in this year.

Why are you so sure that Zcoin will be listed on Poloniex in next month? Btc38, aka the best Chinese altcoin exchange has already listed XZC, I see no other reason that Poloniex will list XZC.

Just wait and see it, guy. I have bought some bunches of zcoin 2 days ago . I will keep them at least 1 month for big profit.
why do u think it will be on polo in next month? since the beginning of this coin people are waiting and nothing. polo add strat, even pasc, but not zcoin. zcoin was dumped to the hell, we had greedy garry dev(thanks god, he went away), also btc38 added xzc. So this coin has really hard destiny.
P.S. As for me, i have xzc, but i am realist. It is interesting, why people think, it will go to the moon.

Turns out that supernova is linked to an incomplete miner for windows.

Btw we have an ongoing poll on our Slack channel on exploring the implementation of incentivized nodes (Znodes) to help with Zerocoin spend transactions.

Quote
What are your thoughts on implementing a super/masternode like system for Zcoin? Nothing binding and still in the early brain storming stage (also still need to assess technical feasibility). We just want to assess community sentiment.

Currently  Zerocoin mints cost 0.1 XZC and spends are free. It's important to have a fee for minting to reduce spam but because processing Zerocoin spend transactions consume cpu resources (few seconds) with no fee, this makes it a problem for mining pools who dislike processing them.

One way is to relook at the fee structure and perhaps reduce the mint fee and have a spend transaction fee as well so to give pools some incentive to process them. We are unsure if this alone is incentive enough and as it scales, crappy nodes (such as rasp pis) will also have issues.

So on top of the relook of the fee structure, we are exploring a masternode like system where special nodes will incentivized to process spend transactions and take the load off pools and weak nodes. There will be a refundable collateral to ensure there's a stake involved so that damaging actions would also hurt their own investment. Currently we are not looking at instant transactions nor are we looking at voting using nodes.

More details available in #poll channel.

Haha well no advantage for having the miners now unless you're a miner developer who wishes to optimize Cheesy

The new algo hasn't kicked in yet. Have 500 blocks to go or about 3.5 days.
