I'm on US3, and for the past few days my miners have been failing over to my backup pool almost every time that work gets pushed out for a new block. I caught it the latest time it happened, and I was disconnected from the server for up to a minute and a half. Any suggestions?

Are you using cgminer? If so, have you updated to 2.3.6 or 2.4? 2.3.6 pushed a fix to solve problems that were sometimes showing up when a long poll message was received, which caused exactly the behavior you're describing.

No, I'm using Phoenix 1.7.5. There have been no software changes to my miners in months. It just started happening out of the blue. Edit: I've noticed that the pool's overall hash rate drops significantly (66 GH/s) when I am getting disconnected and my miners fail over to my backup pool. In fact, our pool's 60 minute hash rate looks like a roller coaster. I'm also getting a very large number of rejects during this period. Someone else on our pool's forum is also talking about the pool timing out. https://eclipsemc.com/forums/showthread.php/261-Pool-Timeouts

You might try upgrading to Phoenix 2 or CGMiner 2.4.1. When you say "works gets pushed out for a new block" do you mean on a LongPoll or something else?
I made a change to US3, lets see if that fixes the issue.
Does it happen on us2 or us1?

This is what is happening, and it maybe a coincidence, but the pool's hash rate drops each time that it happens. I'll check US1 and see if it happens there also. I do not have this problem on the backup pool. Edit: This is also happening on US1.

Yesterday I was getting the same disconnects on us1, us2 and us3. I have two boxes mining. One is Cgminer 2.3.6 and the other is a BAMT box using phoenix. I haven't seen it happen yet today though, but I've just started actively monitoring.
Also, this morning, I'm no longer able to log into the EMC web page. It says my account credentials are wrong using the password that has been saved in my browser for quite some time now.

Just upgraded the cgminer box to 2.4.1, we'll see how it goes.

I'm using this pool and I should be getting around 1.05bitcoins/day however cgminer reports alot of error and I'm only getting around 0.85bitcoins/day. I know that DGM if you get disconnected and reconnect it is alot less compared to proportional, maybe I should try another pool or can problem get solved easily? I tried out Phoenix2 on one worker. I'm getting the same disconnects and rejected shares when work from a new block is pushed out. [09:49:52] [GPU 0] Result 000000005a2e4591... I'm looking into the issue. I think it's a miner/miners flooding the servers with connections (or maybe someone is trying to DOS the servers and not quite succeeding?)...

I've been having problems with the US servers in the past few days, I'm using Phoenix 1.x and haven't changed my configuration for a while now.

I have problems too. I lost connection for a short time, then it connects again and so on. Losing Hashrate from 3,6 to 2,8 GHash :-( I'm on US3 and Nick is bitcoindigger

I am working on the issue... might have a potential fix soon, if it doesn't let up in the meantime. Seems to come and go though... wonder if it's a botnet of some sort.

This is wrong, where did you hear this? Is the EU server better for mining inside EU? what is adress to there. I read somewhere that when you just connect to DGM you will recieve less bitcoins compared to those mining long and it evens out after mining long. But obviously because something is bad with my connection to mining(my internet is high quality and basicaly 100% working). So I don't know as I wrote earlier I have the problems as I wrote earlier, not sure how that effects my mining and if I should consider proportional.

You should probably look into your modem/gateway/router to see if there is any funny business going on, particularly if you use a gateway. It takes a little while to get to your full share in DGM, but it takes just as long to lose it, If you have an hour of downtime when you lose connection I doubt you're missing out on much of a payout if at all. It really all depends on the pools luck and time of your connection loss. Please correct me if I'm wrong Meni.

Maybe cgminer allows me to log and see how much my mhash is over long time and % stales? It looks like it is only 3-6s down according cgminer, it is 3 failures in 30minutes now that I look, So I guess in 1 hour that is around 30seconds of failure in total, so I guess I'm loosing less than 1% of my hashing power?
