Does BFL offer discount on purchase of 5 units or more?

Yeah, it looks like the problem is somewhere unrelated to the problems (that seem to be resolved) around here. The DC is insisting the problem shouldn't affect the servers, and they seem to be up and running, so it's hard to argue!
BFL does not offer any discounts unfortunately. At least they haven't so far... but if you buy an FPGA now, they will give you full trade in value for it if you upgrade to ASIC when it's released.

Back in November, I had selective browsing problem for almost 2 months. Even though I cant access most of the sites I usually visit, my machine din't encounter problems connecting to Eclipse. The shitty ISP techs keep saying that the problem was with my IP because only the ones with static addresses encountered the problem. So when they said that they will switch me to dynamic temporarily, I had no choice but agree, I can't switch to another ISP. The other ISP which have better service and higher bandwidth doesn't offer unlimited access per month. I guess I'll better wait for more info on BFLs ASIC since there's only one day left till June.

Avast keeps blocking connections to EMC by CGminer. Any suggestions on how to avoid that?

I think OzCoin was having trouble with Avast a couple weeks ago. It was determined that Avast was at fault, but I don't know what ever became of it. Maybe it was another AV product though... in either case, yes, whitelist or disable Avast.

Some avast customers complained to Avast about being blocked from a site that was no threat, despite their "incredible" customer service display they seem to have acted on their users complaints. I never received a response to any of the emails I sent them.

Finally... thought we were going to break a record.
EDIT - Huh... so back to back shares with less than 20 shares submitted between them breaks things. Good to know, not that I ever expected to run into that.
I'll have it fixed shortly.

Finally... thought we were going to break a record.
What duration was the record? Also, when looking at the block stats page, block 182403 shows 0 shares but 2/120 confirms right now. This came right after the marathon block with 100% luck, what's up? BTW, round duration in quick stats is showing "15491d 19:36:02" for me right now... something looks screwed up.

Lifetime max was around 10 million... it will show you the max under the graphs section.

Don't forget that the number by itself doesn't mean much, it's shares/difficulty that actually has meaning. ... and that the record I've seen so far that I've mentioned before is 8.25 on deepbit (825%)

I know what you're saying and I agree, but it does have meaning in absolute terms of time. At a given hashrate it's going to take X amount of hours to solve Y amount of shares... so 825% for Deepbit means far less time than 400% at EMC -> I'll take Deepbit's time factor

Wow, I just got my two BFL Singles yesterday and started mining on Eclipse and we've already had 8 blocks found and it hasn't even been 24 hours yet.

It seems I am experiencing time lags with Eclipse; cgminer even tries to get work from the failover pool (if I don't set --failover-only it says primary pool is lagging and tries to fetches work from secondary pool).
Any idea, or things I should look for?
Edit: I checked into possible issues and noticed that some users described a timeout with cgminer 2.3 It's sort of similar, but I'm running cgminer 2.4.1-9 under Linux. It's running great for a while and than suddenly there's some wait time, and then it recovers. No idea. The network seems ok though.
