Getting a little help evening out that PPS with the run of short blocks lately. I unfortunately am not on DGM currently. Added another miner though so my measly donation amount should double.

Well I'm sure any donation is welcomed. I didn't want to give anyone the impression your donation will directly affect the pool or it's uptime. I was just responding to the post about whether a mandatory donation would improve the pool.

I am pretty certain from what I have observed that Inaba does whatever he can to make the pool the best it can be. He's clearly not doing it just for the money.

+1 dude gets an A+ in my book. Time and time again goes above and beyond the call of duty. Leads by example and is a role model not just for the other bitcoin pools operators, but also the pools themselves and in how he is involved with it and for the miners of it.

Inaba sorry for a majority of my post in this thread to be of this nature.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it.  It's true, I do run the pool for the miners... basically I just try to run a pool I want to mine in, which is why I started a pool in the first place; none of the pools offered the things I wanted.  I'm definitely all about the miners and not about the money.  Unfortunately, no Ferrari's for me from the pool proceeds, but I'm ok with that. Smiley

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

Too many connections. Positive problem, but I'm getting tired of regular downtime...

Stiftmaster: That problem is (obviously fixed) .

Punin: I'm not sure what you're talking about, can you elaborate?

is something up with the pool/website just now?

edit: seems fine now, but for a while there the site wouldn't load and my miners went idle, could very well have been my ISP.

Yeah, around the time punin posted this, my BFL singles switched to a failover pool for awhile.  Actually, they switched to the #3 pool, since both my #1 (EMC) and my #2 were down.

Yep, same here, same time. And it wasn't the Singles this time, they were happily mining at the backup pool for some time.

I am going to be taking the website down in about an hour to replace some hardware.  Pool should continue to run fine though... website will be offline for ~1/2 - 1 hour.

I'm having a dns issue too. I'm unable to ping any of the us*.eclipsemc.com. I keep getting error request could not find host. Other pools I can connect just fine.

Is this normal during the downtime? Is anyone else getting this problem?

I'm trying to connect a miner to the DGS/DGM (whichever it is) but can't.
I have another machine behind me that has been connected since I got home yesterday and it is still doing fine.
Seems like something that is needed to establish a connection is not there while the website is down.

From this info it looks like a DNS/name server problem, not a web server problem.

It's the best pool you're going to find.
Things occasionally require maintenance and upgrades.
