Bit of a noob question here.

On avg how much space does bitcoin-qt take up per day.

The blockchain information thats being stored to your HD, can it be moved to an external HD. I'm worried in the future I'll start to run out of HD space if I don't do this.

Thanks in advance!

The average block size for the last 1896 blocks (since the start of this difficulty period) was 169.4KB.
The number of blocks per day was 166.7 (instead of the expected average 144 blocks per day)
This is a daily rate of 27.6MB per day.

If all pools created their individual maximum block sizes at current settings, it would likely be around 60MB a day.
