being a broadside ballers I couldn't miss this one as well  

In my opinion you should absolutely edit first post to specify a clear deadline for bets to be eligible for contest purposes: I mean, to be clear, you should edit original post and state something like " bets made until Sunday 16th 12:00 UTG", or some unique deadlline to avoid any dispute or complaint.

Also it would be nice if leaderboard would be visible and updated at least daily somewhere  (on Doubloon would be the better choice but also here would be welcome.

 Well, lets give put an update on how things are going on here    :

I just have a look at moneypot public stats of players who joined this contest, like me, and compare starting wagered amount and actual wagered amount with  this format:  

Username    (Actual wagered -  Starting wagered) = this week wagered


stefanmszak  156,983.98 - 111,286.87 = 45,697.11

prialoket               1,044  -     731.39 =  313.19

bitcoinpot      278,454.58 - 216,312.79 = 62,141.79



Just a reminder: top five positions are paid and until now only three players jonid this competition; there is still time to join wager and win a prize   .


This forum is a strange place: I see people scamming and begging for pennies and then missing these opportunities to win free money ( not that much but still almost free money).

It would be nice to see a leaderboard here just to make potentiao players aware of wager volume needed to finish in paid places.
I also think it would help attracting new players , above all if you are planning to make it a regular weekly contest.

I'd say we should make it seperate for each week But that's just my opinion, ofc it should be democratic choice

Well, after reading  actmyname post I had a closer look at original post of this thread and have to admit terms of this contest are not explained in details.

I always assumed this was (is) a weekly wager contest in which winners are choosen amongst the players who wagered most during this (past) week: so calculating the difference between doubloon starting wagered amount at the beginning of the week ( thats why emerge asked us to post username and doubloon wagered amount at the moment of registering to this competition) and deadline contest wagered amount.

I based my assumption on a few clues:

  -  this post from emerge in Doubloon official thread  after I posted there I had joined this contest

 - the fact that to join here, beside MP username and link, we had to post Current Wagered on Doubloon.co: it let me think he needed to fix a starting point from which wager volume would have been calculated.


So I agree with HupsDrapella on how he interpreted the rules but also understand a more detailed explanation is needed if we are going to see a week 2 wagering contest 

But I could be wrong in my interpretation as well, lets wait for Emerge final word on this.

Actmyname, the exact ending time is monday at 8PM GMT+8. And you posted that wager amount in your joining post and it didnt change, so I'd say it doesnt count... It was about who would wager the most AFTER joining the event. So whoever has the highest difference between joining and finishing event, in wager amount, wins. Hope I made it clear, english isnt my native language

In fact, my wagered amount this week was pretty much what I posted minus ~6000 bits or so. Even if that wasn't the case, go backwards in the archive history. You'll find that there's a significant ~260k gap from 2 days ago.

I'm unsure about what the exact problem is. Those archives show that there's a roughly 260,000 bit difference between two days. Why would that not show that I wagered that amount? After all, these archives can't exactly be faked.

The problem with posting your wagered amount beforehand is the fact that you wouldn't be able to cross reference it with the actual stats - unless you're slaving away at this thread 24/7

Someone could hack into archive.is, or you could be the owner of archive.is 

I think actmyname should qualify for the contest though, since the archive shows the time and played fairly.
