PS. by the way the serious trolls and professionals have always targeted Maria, Cypherdoc, Molecular, D&T, etc. So don't be surprised by all the comments.

PPS. Diversify!

Thanks a lot FreddyFender Smiley

What is it ? A mining pool ?

It's a faucet, you put in your Bytecoin address and it gives you free coins, at the moment I'm keeping the payout amount to a minimum until it's properly tested. Smiley

Maria (1.0,2.0,.. etc) , oldest of all Trolls and first of all Bitcointalk Trolls, makes herself often enough an easy target.

P.S.: I filled the faucet.

What's the point of a faucet ? Seems to just cheapen the coin if you are just giving them away, or is the idea to just try to disperse the coins to help its popularity ?

Saigō Takamori : ( 1828 – 1877) was one of the most influential samurai in Japanese history. He has been dubbed the last true samurai.

Oh, thanks a lot phantastisch! It really helps the community Smiley

By the way, do you have a suggested payout amount? The faucet seems to be working fine, so I might increase the amount given away

The main point is to disperse the coins. There are still bitcoin faucets aren't there? Not everyone has the means to mine, so faucets give away a tiny amount of virtual currency to those people Smiley

I think you chose the amount well.

Oh ok, thanks, I'll stick with it then Smiley I just wanted to see what other people thought was an acceptable amount, as quite a few people were giving out 1 BTE to anyone who asked, although this is a slightly different situation.

Network seems slow today, no confirmations since 5 minutes.

Slow? Blocks are aimed to be 10 minutes.

if Bytecoin is supposed to be 8x better than Bitcoin, shouldn't the blocks be timed 8x faster? so, every 75seconds approximately?

Only because it's faster , does not mean it's better. Source : Your wife.

The whole hype around this ridiculous Bitcoin2.0 was that it was 8x better, 8x more coins to be mined, 8x this 8x that. so why not 8x faster blocks?

No , there was no number 8 hype. It was advertised as exact Bitcoin clone and it is.

Is anybody selling these? I'm making my first bitcoin purchase tomorrow and I'd like to try these too.

My address is 8JBZwiwPDpirAwCwjB15io8SnKYrJfz4th if there are any good Samaritans here. Smiley
