Hello,

I recently started mining and caught the mining bug.  I purchased two Antminer S9s from HolyBitcoins and am going to host them at a friend's business location as he has a dedicated server room and his business class energy rates are far better than what my residential rates are.  What I am looking for is advice and help setting up a secure remote connection to access my S9's interface.  I've heard of people using OpenVPN or setting up a SSH server.  I'm open to whatever the best solution would be.

Payment in BTC using OGNasty as escrow would be my preference (I will pay escrow fee).  Looking to get this done asap so please message me with your qualifications, approach, and fees.  I will act very quickly (today).

Thanks so much, and if I totally messed this post up (newbie here) please let me know how I need to adjust.

Thanks,

-Reelen

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I believe OpenVPN will not solve your problem of setting up a secure remote connection.

There is a noob solution here :
I had an experience of using logmein.com to access my computer from my office. If you are not using any sensitive data (like your wallet/credit cards ) in remote computer with mining, you may go for it.

You can access your friend's computer from your laptop's browser. Your friend's computer must have logmein's software installed and have enabled the option to be accessed remotely.

Use logmein's Hamachi service @ https://www.vpn.net/

It allows you to share the LAN without having to remote desktop. We used to use it for games that only allowed multiplayer over LAN.

I believe it also allows for remote desktop but that is a waste of resources.
