I don't want to bring it up in the pool section here of mining, but I would like more about the quality of a lot of these pools.  I have had great luck with a few but want to mine different coins and a lot of the pools I'm trying have serious errors and no or bad customer service.  I know it isn't easy running a pool, but it would be great if there was like a type of active interface where living, breathing pools with happy miners somehow were registering which pools were worth it.

It seems like people don't want to talk about pools in a thread about all of them in general....its just when things get so bad then the complaints happen and the pool is gone.

If you're looking for a curated list of pools (or pretty much anything for that matter) and expect Bitcointalk staff to provide an entire (rather complicated) system, which picks out the best ones on a number of factors, you might not be completely aware of what the term "discussion forum" means. Anyone, who happens to own a pool, and isn't currently banned (permanently or temporarily) for breaking the forum's rules is allowed to start a thread about it. If someone wants to create a thread that reviews and rates said pools based on certain factors as well as general user input, they can do so (and many have done so with signature campaigns, various services, escrows, etc.). If that's not enough, nobody's stopping you from starting a website and pulling data from Bitcointalk's threads (with the appropriate request limit of up to 1 per second).

So if you see a problem - feel free to try and solve it (create a curated thread, start a website, etc.). There wasn't a list of all Bitcointalk's rules in one place, which ended up in quite a few situations where users were completely unaware of the existence of such, so I just made one.
