An excellent example of

Poor reporting
Scaremongering
Ignorance

Locked screens displayed a sinister message demanding three 'bitcoins' in return for the safety of some files.
But the centre's CEO, Maragret McMahon, said they had a "lucky escape".

I prefer to think of it as foreshadowing and very soon, three 'bitcoins' will fetch about £13,0001

1 as long as it is not due to devaluation of the Pound Sterling Wink
