You also forgot to mention "Dope". This 2015 American crime comedy-drama featured Bitcoin front and center, as a group of high school friends become entangled in a mess of crimes. They find themselves in possession of molly they must get rid of, and begin doing so through the darknet website. The film, executive produced by Pharrell Williams, is the only mainstream film featuring Bitcoin as a focal point of the plotline.

It is really a good thing bitcoin is appearing in series and films making it possible for people who are movie freaks but don't have the patient to look online for upcoming or fast growing technology to see things related to bitcoin. No doubt as these movies and series are playing, very short but educative messages about bitcoin can be paased to viewers. These viewers will no doubt get some indirect messages about bitcoin which will be stored in their mind and maybe tempted to do research on bitcoin more later for investment purpose.

There was a whole episode of "The Good Wife" in 2011 about Bitcoin.
You probably mean season 3 episode 13 of Good Wife which is already listed in the opening post. If there is another one please report. Also, it's mentioned in almost every Netflix original series. Orphan Black, The Lone Survivor, Disjointed...to name a few.
Thanks for the hint. I am currently looking for new series I can start. I will see if the three mentioned series appealed to me. If so, then I will list the individual episodes and position where Bitcoin is mentioned. |

Bitcoin is mentioned in the 3rd season of the series Person of Interest, at least twice in the "plane episode" (13). Its also mentioned in a previous episode, some guy made "a million and a half in bitcoin".

happy to see btc in this movies, the question is how has this appearance in all this movies and series been able to help btc? i usually wonder if viewers of this movies even pay attention to the mention of btc or at the end of the movie does it make them to want to use their google search engine to do more research about btc enough to want to be a part of this great community! i think this will be effective if people come into crypto because of the movie they watched where btc or atls where mentioned.

Bitcoin was a part of a sub plot in the HBO series Euphoria where one of the characters asks how it works so she can start accepting it for online payments. They at least briefly sum it up fairly well to the laymen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nQG6soZa0EBitcoin was also very briefly mentioned on the Netlix series Safe, but it was just a passing comment and not really related to anything. I had to turn the subtitles on because I wasn't even 100% sure he said bitcoin but just coins, but the subtitles confirmed it. Bitcoin Heist film about bitcoin which illustrates a prediction that the price will rise sharply, in the ending that a father asks for thousands of bitcoin for his son's future
if you think about it, it is truly perfect for the future of their children, maybe someone has been inspired to buy bitcoin from the movie Bitcoin Heist and has already gotten high profits when bitcoin prices are high.
whether in the present year there will be films like that again ?

Not a great movie, but they mentioned bitcoin at around 31.43. Another only brief mention in passing but still nice to see bitcoin entering the minds of screenwriters. I wonder when we'll start to see some films based around or heavily involved with bitcoin.

Netflix Trailer S1Netflix Trailer S2It's a series about normal guys who are going to build up an international drug sale on the dark web from their child's room. While in the first season, Bitcoin and crypto currencies plays only a minor role, it becomes a main role in the second season. |

Axelrod has invested in a mine which gets closed by the authorities and his son uses his school's electricity to try and mine some crypto. |

they are nerds, tech geeks, and enthusiasts.
I believe that the early members of this forum were here because of the technology too, they were enthusiastic about a new thing.

I am a fan of Big Bang Theory. But with the exception of one episode (which is already in the list) the series does not deal with Bitcoin and crypto currencies, although one might expect this from nerds more often. |

Curious! just last night doing zaping I just stopped to watch a channel just when it read "coinout" and the individual on screen said "the money in physical is going to disappear" to which Mark Cuban replied "not even the most staunch followers of bitcoin believe that..." Now surfing the forum I get this post, I really could have written down the episode and the season, but I let it go, although if I can tell you that the program is Shark Tank. __ ...//...
