It's the same old discussion with a vote - BitCoin makes each and every one of  us the bank.  We decide how we spend our money and even how we store it, online wallets, on our devices, paper wallets - the list goes on.

You'll probably find that the vote will go to "no" simply because most people who come to BitCoin already understand the concept of decentralised currency.

The true question here isn't you as a bank but a third party holding your money... For security reason or whatever, some way to withdraw the money, I don't know...
Don't look smart for me...

Some people just don't want to be responsible for their own money or whatever. It might be security concerns, or whatever else, there is definitely something that they believe a bank offers them. For most people I would assume that's safety and interest.

To me Bitcoin Banks are usable in great extent and act as gateways to enable further access.

For the fullest extent in time Bitcoin will see successful rate increases due to speculation and demand. There was a point in BTC history where it spiked, resulting in insane news press which keeps piling up today.

There's loads more to see and with full innovation by large companies & API's this will look even more grand than at the start.

And the bitcoin bank is the worst idea in this time, the people are searching the bitcoin get their freedom about the financial manager and how about building the dictator against their economic freedoms?

Truth is that banks are a protection service but well, it can go bankrupt and you loose it all or government close the account or I don't know, nothing is 100%...

And some banks use your money to lend to other people and you receive for hold the money there...

bitcoin bank, if it operates online, then it doesnt make any difference from online wallets. Moreso if it operates with offices in different countries will be influenced by politics.

Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea.
So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.

Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think?
p.s. we don't talk about bitcoin debit card.
Craig Wrigh ("Satoshi Nakamoto" I am not sure about him) had the idea to make bitcoin bank but he failed.

No. the first reason that I used bitcoins is because of the sole purpose of not needing to use banks. This destroys that one purpose entirely.

I don't actually care about this kind of thing, but IMO Bitcoin bank is not a good idea. It's indeed not a "stupid" idea, but it just doesn't fit with Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin is supposed to be decentralized, and with this 'Bitcoin bank' it will un-decentralized the Bitcoin itself. That's why I don't really agree with this idea, even tho I would not have refused if many people agree with it.

Absolutely not, simply because bitcoin has already a place to be put on and that is nitcoin wallet. In my own opinion you dont have to make a tangible thing for a non-tangible one. So a non-tangble bitcoin is good for a non-tangible wallet

I would not agree with this Idea too.. bitcoin is secure enough and everyone can protect their bitcoins by their own self. in short everyone is his own bank in bitcoin.
so making a third party bank and giving control of our bitcoin to them is not a thing we need. and bitcoin is not mad for this reason. bitcoin is the currency of freedom.
and the other side. bitcoin wallets are also a kind of banks. if people still need banks then they consider their wallet a bank.

I don't agree with this idea. Banks = full control, and we want exactly the opposite: anonymity. The only option would be a Bitcoin bank where you don't have to put in your personal information. I'd accept only that way.

Some people just don't want to be responsible for their own money or whatever. It might be security concerns, or whatever else, there is definitely something that they believe a bank offers them. For most people I would assume that's safety and interest.

The crucial point for people is that banks are the central authority that is somehow giving people trust and confidence. Add that the government gives people an extra piece of mind by securing their money till a certain amount. If you take these things into consideration, then it's for them an easy choice to keep using banks. Bitcoin on the other hand doesn't have a central authority, doesn't have a government securing your money, doesn't allow you to hold it in your hand. Reason enough for people to keep walking the same old fiat road.

Banks = full control, and we want exactly the opposite: anonymity.

I agree that we are looking for anonymity, but the fact is that banks don't allow you to fully control your money. With Bitcoin you can.

The only option would be a Bitcoin bank where you don't have to put in your personal information. I'd accept only that way.

Whether a so called Bitcoin bank allows you to privately register there or not, it still doesn't change one very important thinig. And that thing is that you still don't have any control over your coins if you make use of it. People are in Bitcoin to own what they have, and not to hand over their wealth into the hands of an entity you don't know.

In one sense it would be good because having bitcoin bank will make the coin popular and some other guy would start using it. But in one sense it would be bad because having bitcoin bank will make the network untrustworthy because bitcoin is decentralized and automated but bank will make it insecure but if they make it automated then it would be welcoming.

If we will make you idea possible, I have a big question for you, who will manage the bitcoin bank?

That's the question that is hard to answer since banks are centralized and we are decentralized, so it should be the interest for everyone here and since we do not know each other how can we trust a person, literally bank is a business of trust.

I think there will be differences about bitcoin bank and wallet, you can not say the same thing, because the wallet will be much more secure because more decentralized think

Some people who share their opinion in this thread have very limited knowledge how banks works and how problematic it can be.
It is not about that big finance controls everything, it is rather conditions that make BANKS responsible for major international financial crises.
Do you really want that menace invading bitcoin world?! Why do we need banks to eat our money where we have perfectly fine p2p money transfer system?

You greedy bank lover bastards want one thing - easy profits from collecting accrued interest.

most people are only thinking about the one side of using banks and that is the obvious side that a "user" can see and that is only benefits such as profit that banks give on the deposited money there.
what you say is on another layer and most "users" don't care about that kind of stuff.

Well if that users concern about security then i think bitcoin bank is not a useless thing because he she want to protect his her bitcoin from others but for i think it okay but im not using it because im okay with my wallet and as long as you know how to handle your wallet then it is safe.
