I do not see much of a difference, but I do not trust banks anyway therefore I prefer to keep all my money myself  Keeping your money by yourself has a greater chance being stolen than inside a bank, even if you put it inside a safe/vault with experienced robbers it won't be any problem with them In case of cash/fiat money, then you're right, it's a better choice to keep it at banks as everything you store at home in physical form is too risky. why not trust banks? They don't still hour money anyway they just decrease its value over time.
The main reason for people to not trust banks is that they use people's money to gamble with it on the financial markets. If everything works out as they planned, it's all good for banksters themselves, but the customers and tax payers don't benefit from it. But when things don't go to plan, and banksters end up making huge losses, the bill will be passed to the customers and the tax payers. Not fair, right? Bitcoin (digital wallet file) is something that you can either have stored in a USB drive, or burned on a CD/DVD. Paper wallets are something that you can precisely hide somehwere in your house as it is nothing more than a thin sheet of paper. In this regard the far better option is to have your money stored in Bitcoin within your house. No one will notice anything. |

Well it is not a bad idea that we can have a few banks setup and start trading within the bank. This will help boasting the confidence of all users and price stability will further help in having the large population to buy the coins.
Also even the brick and motar store will start using the coins again the fiat.

As already stated above with bitcoin we are our own bank, soo why would we need another entity or companie to hold our bitcoins? Makes no sense after freedom we think into get inside of those companies and control.
Yeah, the freedom of bitcoin in our hands and no need extra charges for bitcoin bank to take care our btc. If the regulation similar with conventional banks, that would be not so good for us due to reduction of bitcoin advantages like anonymous and low fees transaction. |

Banks probably have better security than you can manage. Doesn't make sense to keep money under your pillow, when you can deposit it in a bank. |

I don't agree or like the bitcoin bank idea, sure getting a good interest in BTC is good and getting loans for those asking for them is good but having a bank takes away the anonymity and decentralization is just too much against the idea of BTC.

I don't agree with the idea of bitcoin bank. I'm pretty sure they will have the same motives as ponzi websites. Ponzi sites tend to earn the trust of people at first, and then after a month or so, they'll run away. Bitcoin banks would surely be trusted by some people because it's about security and people wants to keep their coins secure. You can't trust anyone online except yourself. Make your bitcoin wallets safe by enabling 2FA.

The idea of having a bank for bitcoin is realy good, the fact that you can go and exchange your coins instantly into real cash and use it,or going to the supermarket and paying with your bitcoin card would be a time-saving thing

Hwre in our country a wallet that is only available in our country are being used by us so we can transfer our bitcoin in banks. Thry just put some fee on converting and transaction. The banks are affiliated on our wallet so we can easily withdraw our bitcoin to make it fiat. Less hasstle for us thatnare using this wallet

If the Bank is completely decentralized why shouldn't I agree!? If a Bank decentralized as soon as you do business with this Bank you become a part of the Bank.
As long as there is decentralization banks can act like entites that can help investors.

Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea.
So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.
Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think?
p.s. we don't talk about bitcoin debit card.
I don't think it's a good ideia. What I really would like to see would be BTC ATMs everywhere exchanging Bitcoins to our country currencies easily and fast. Because it's boring to have to send BTCs to exchange and pay fees to turn it into our local currency, in the end we lost some part of our money just with bureaucratic transactions that could be skipped. |

No dude, unfortunately bank is different with bitcoin. Bank is not work decentralized as well as bitcoin mechanism. Bank work as centralized, many people don't like with this. But i agree with you if bank move to decentralized system. |

Having a bitcoin bank is not very good because unlike other currencies bitcoin has a very unstable price so one day you can have 700$ and the other you can have a lower prices which is not good for the bank.

That "bank" that you're saying is actually already there. It's the bitcoin network and it help investors. There's no other bank out there that is decentralized. All of the banks are managed by the government. The concept of bank and bitcoins just cannot be mixed to each other for they are two opposite things. |

Now most of the people trust and use traditional banks and bank related investments than our digital currencies. This can be overcome by our bitcoin, but to reach common man a bitcoin bank is needed, as there are people who are still not aware of computer usage. Other than this, only to reach certain percentage of users there is no need of such bitcoin bank.

yes i am also not in favour of bitcoins banks through this way we are going to decentralize it and it will not maintain its anonymous characteristic. therefore online wallet is good for keeping bitcoins, just need to make them more safe and secure. |

We are the bitcoin banks, we do exchange our bitcoins with others anytime we do need or wanna, there is a lot places to make this besides the exchanges, banks will assume control of a decentralized currencie? No way, sorry im not part of such stupid idea, im free as well my bitcoins. |

I don't think you know what you are talking about. If there happens to be a so called Bitcoin bank, then exactly that will be the third party (or whatever else you like to call it) where people are NOT interested in. If such a "bank" is offering its services to the public, then they will in fact charge you with fees. They will not put themselves into debt just because you like transaction free conversions or withdrawals. Just think about it, something that is putting the label "Bitcoin bank" on itself, will either be an exchange, or just an online wallet service. It's nothing like a traditional bank. We are the bitcoin banks
100% correct. I am fairly sure that the main reason for people to be interested in a Bitcoin bank, is the fact that it will give them interest over their coins (at least, they think so). And that's it. |
