This seems awesome proposal. How long time ago no one does that?
It's a terrible proposal and goes against the core values of crypto.

this is antithetical  to what bitcoin stands/meant for. it's interesting, but i think it would bring us back to square one. having a bank would mean someone is in power.

Bank, in terms of crypto, doesn't mean that someone would actually posses your currency

I disagree, because if there is a bitcoin bank it is no different from fiat currrency, and we do not have full control over the bitcoin we have

Bitcoin, like the other crypto currency, does not need banks to store these assets there. It's even a stupid idea. The most reliable bank for storage is cold storage in a digital purse. And the very meaning of such a bank is incomprehensible. This, in fact, should be a room with servers for storing information. I personally do not see the point in this.

I actually use Chase as my "Bitcoin Bank". I have an envelope containing a cold storage private key printed on paper and a USB containing an encrypted wallet.dat which I have placed in a Chase safety deposit box. I had to recently visit Chase to move the coins to a new address for replay protection purposes.

I think this is a very good idea, with bitcoin and bank together it will make a big change in the global transaction system so it will make things easier. I hope this soon gets realized faster so it will make a big change.

We don't need bank because if you want to make sure that your bitcoin is safe then buy some hardware wallet because it is a one time payment and if you buy right now then you can use that hardware wallet as your own bank and you have access to it every time and you are controlling the money that you have and there is no third party that will see your worth of money in coins.

I don't think Bitcoin bank survive in the current scenario, as people are yet to understand how it works, as the majority are unfamiliar with the bitcoin bank. All are currently using nationalised and private banks as they are part and parcel of their life, so bitcoin bank idea is good, but it has to implement in such a way that it should reach everyone.

People have a freedom to choose whatever they do and wherever they put their coins. But i am mainly referring to people that praise Bitcoin because it's decentral allows them to avoid dealing with banks since they can have full control over their coins that they hate banks and all that.

At the moment, no, i don't agree with the idea of bitcoin bank. First, a lot of people dont know what bitcoin is and how it works, second, bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency, so it would be difficult to put it in a centralized bank, and lastly we should wait to on how far would bitcoin go... Why do we need to use the dencentralization network for Bitcoin system? You also know use decentralization network can help us avoid the management of anyone, especially the government and banking system. Honestly, in present, there are many people do not want to put their money in the bank. But in some countries, the government is forcing people to put money in the bank and use it with limited funds.

Yes bitcoin bank is a good idea. Today we are facing issues to withdraw and buy bitcoins with a high fees.If bitcoin bank is developed in every country with less fee then it would be good.

In one form what's been said is the true fact. Such banking services can help the people who doesn't know how to make use of it. Even with the digital banking people are not much aware about it. So to have a successful bitcoin bank is completely an tedious job and to sustain without flaws is very difficult.

Yes, I agree with the idea of setting up BTC bank. Now in the banking industry. Full of monopolies and rights. I want to have a truly centralized banking platform. The interest rate here will serve you, a platform that is not controlled by any country or company

I think the purpose of bitcoin is for us to have a free choice on how we will use it. We have a complete privacy over our coins and only our carelessness will be the only flaw. Having a bitcoin bank that regulates bitcoin is not really a bad idea but also not good. One company will control everything. Yes, we use wallets to deposit our coins but that's a completely different from a bank. It is great to have their services. We could even earn profits from our idle coins but having them really will cancel out our cause, to have a 100% privacy over our money. Well, its just my opinion so please enlighten me with some of your ideas.
