Maybe true if many people are using the faucet, but only a few people are use it and I think no effect on market cap. This method works when the faucet increase reward per claim.

Faucets are good for people who are beginning to use bitcoin and spending some free time everyday they can see their wallets grow. However they not that profitable in the long run.

Also the fact that faucet owners buy bitcoin to pay the users is true but that wont change the marketcap much in my opinion. It the large volume traders who manipulate the market by trading huge amounts and not the faucet owners.

I remembered before when im suffering earning bitcoins on faucets, I feel that it is very very slow. It is better to try gambling using gambling faucets to win bitcoins. Its more faster, Newbies are the one who are using bitcoin faucets

If you like BTC you have to use at least one faucet.     EDB3 :o3

Imagine when all of a sudden, all of us stopped using faucets, how the market cap would shrink along with the bitcoin price? I would say, a lot. I have no specific data ( if any ) on how much cap is consumed by micro-earnings, only speculations tell me that it can be more than 20%.
In order to keep BTC demand at current rate, any one should use some
form of micro-online-earning systems, so that faucet owners can keep buying more, resulting in steady/constant demand growth.

you are delusional my friend. the fact that you are using faucets or even own a faucet doesn't mean the world is as small as what you see.

there are a lot more ways of using bitcoin and so many other ways of earning and using bitcoin that faucet usage is lost among them and besides anybody with a couple of seconds of calculation can find out using faucets is not good.

Haha are you really trying to convince long time members of this forum to do faucets??  Cheesy Common the money flowing through all the faucets in the world combined wouldn't make even a tiny dent in Bitcoin's market cap. Plus faucets are geared primarily toward newbies because only newbies, veiled in their initial awe of Bitcoin, will consider spending time collecting these tiny amounts. I, myself, as a newbie did faucets for about 2 weeks before I realized that I wasn't gonna get anywhere fast and stopped.

I think you're just kidding bro! "If I like BTC, I've to use a faucet" this is really insane. I like paper currency, so I've to use PTC websites? Or some other websites like this? Nope.

Bitcoin doesn't depend on faucets.

The marketcap consumed by micro-earnings or faucets which is 20% or whatever will probably add up to some other thing if people stop using them or they disappear as the demand of bitcoin is already a lot in the community and none of them are willing to choose micro-earnings to fulfill their demands.
For sure that the faucets should stop their operation, there may be a deccrease in demand of Bitcoin. I disagree that everyone should use faucet because I have never used it myself. My suggestion is every fan of bitcoin should enlighten as many people as possible that are close to them on the value of using bitcoin. By so doing will increase it demand and consequently the price too.

Not sure if this is some sort of low-key advertising the use of faucets since there's been quite shortage with that lately or OP was actually serious about this. But just because he's serious about this, doesn't mean this idea is real and not absurd.

Thinking of the owners of faucets, they don't actually have that much Bitcoins that is why they've made their own website, and put up a lot of advertisements in it. Those faucet owners doesn't have that much and that obviously mean that their faucet sites doesn't hold that much funds. There are even faucet sites that shows the current funds that is still available and most of them are either really really low on funds or is not enough to pay a faucet user.

Adding all those little funds that faucet sites hold, even if there's a lot of them, doesn't make a lot of Bitcoins. I feel that if faucets are all gone, we won't even notice it.

this is such a stupid topic Cheesy

i like bitcoin but i like it so much that i think faucets are destroying bitcoin actually because it has created this illusion in the head of some of the newbies that earning bitcoin is hard and you can only earn 100 satoshis and they are satisfied with it.

There are other ways in which can earn money from. There's tons of it. There's trading, signature campaigns, you can offer services too, or even buy and sell stuffs. Faucet might be something that you can earn from when you're just starting, but it's a total waste of time. Bitcoin can remain popular and useful even if we don't use faucets. Who use faucets up to this day anyway? IMO, this thread isn't helpful at all. It's not worth discussing.
