have a 7970M using guiminer and only getting 250khash/s , What should I be getting?

hmm so what I'm I doing wrong?  using a alienware m18 laptop with 2 amd radeon 7970m graphic cards . Using reaper with guiminer

vectors:1
cpu threads:1
worksize:256
intensity:16
gpu defaults:7970 high usage


driver verison :8.934.2.1000 , i tried updating the driver and i was getting the same

Oh so you mining LTC. this is as good as it gets on your gpu.

forgot to mention that sorry , mining LTC , how come with I try to mine with the other gpu  both hash rate drop to 50khash/s?

Watch that laptop doesn't overheat. Laptops are not good miners.

7970m is basically under-clocked desktop 7870
desktop 7870 at 1000/1500 MHz gives about 400kH/s ... https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/wiki/Mining-hardware-comparison
so 250kH is maybe appropriate, probably not possible to go over 300
in guiminer try to use defaults for 7870 not for 7970
try thread-concurrency 15360 or 16384
maybe also try cgminer instead of reaper to see if there is difference
BTW what is your GPU temperature during mining?

With cgminer i use -g 2 which is gpu threads, get 600-680 with scrypt, rad 7970. Cpu threads must be irrelevant, surely.

I second this. I've had several high perforamnce laptops and they ALWAYS ran at 80c+ when gaming and that's not under full load. I understand mobile chips are meant to have a higher heat tolerance and the 7-series runs cooler but my my I do hope you don't ruin 2 amazing mobile GPUs.
