I am not getting the point of UNLIMITED BITCOIN , can you please elaborate more.

The point of BU is to

1. signal your high purity Gavinista virtue via opposition to Core, segwit, etc.
2. troll GMAX

Don't worry about it, Unlimiturd will be REKT just like XT, Classic, and all the other lulzy, contentious (IE impossible) hard forks.   Cheesy

I am the elected "Developer" (committer) to Bitcoin Unlimited.  I am breaking my silence of a year and a month on this forum to say that we do have a solid development team, but that you will have a very hard time discovering information about us and the Bitcoin Unlimited project on this forum since much of it has been "moderated" out of existence.  We will see if this post lasts.  Please do use Google searches to learn about us.

What are the advantages of bitcoin unlimited and why should one support it ?

Many including me don't gonna support any other bitcoin alts than bitcoin core.  Wink Grin

Even those hypothetical 348 nodes (source http://xtnodes.com/#all_nodes) support to unlimited may get way lower in coming years.

you seem to be a noob that purchased a high ranking username

That's a very expensive high ranking username, based on the amount escrowed, the donator status, and all the physical silver and gold coins sold under that name.

ill take it as satire then

Don't take it as satire.  It wasn't.  If you do not understand why, then you should ask questions instead of making ridiculous statements.

Bitcoin unlimited is well and alive. About 15% of the hashrate is behind it at this stage and is gaining momentum.
Wow ! that is a very good percentage indeed. These guys are just too good in getting the whole thing for themselves. How I wish I can grab something ike this and make myself the bitcoin richest person on earth so I can brag and control many things. I like this very much basically.

Nice to meet you, and thanks to franky1 for the technical explanations.

BU shows a risk, or an opportunity, that I hadn't seen coming. For months, we've talking that Bitcoin Core was slow to solve the scalability issue, and probably to their surprise, that opened a door to outsiders to come up with a solution of their own. So BU may have 15% of the hash rate, which is already huge, and I doubt they could ever gain 90%, but they add strong pressure to Bitcoin Core. Monero is a terrible example. One guy invented it, but some others seized it.

I used to be a citizen and a taxpayer. Those days are long gone.

I am not getting the point of UNLIMITED BITCOIN , can you please elaborate more. Actually unlimited term should not be used in real life because it's unlimited term doesn't exists in reality. You could use the term huge amount instead of unlimited that would make it more realistic.

That's nice. Bitcoin Huge. ... or Bitcoin Great ...

I'm sorry, it looks funny. marley has a point though, you have all these ISPs talking about unlimited, but then give you a call when you download 70 terabytes in a month. That's not really unlimited. It is huge though.

The bitcoin price is around $660 now. Is there any reason for that? Maybe because people are talking about unlimted?
