Hi,

As most of the discussion is about ETH ROMs, I thought I share this here - the ROM I use in my monero rigs, producing a stable 780h/s (stock they pull 630h/s)

The GPU and VRAM are underclocked as well, so the cards keep nicely cool

ATTENTION: Check your cards bios version! It has to be 113-2E3470U.X51

http://supportxmr.com/rx480_nitro_8gb_monero_V3.rom

Disclaimer:

- No guarantees! If you brick your card, that is your responsibility
- This is for the Sapphire RX480 NITRO 8GB model only. Any other card may not support it and may BRICK your card
- You will need ATIflash or similar to flash it. Don't forget to backup your stock ROM. If your card doesn't like the ROM, flash back the original or switch to second bios (jumper on card)

If you enjoy the ROM, feel free to mine at http://supportXMR.com - all kinds of hashrate are welcome Smiley

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I recovered from bad flash on a 470.

I put the bricked card on x1 pcie slot and functional 470 on the x16 slot and booted then flash proper ROM.  A bricked card on the main x16 will hang PC on post.  I use risers BTW so it easy to just swap cables around.

Card was not completely bricked - but Win 10 stopped loading with flashed card (FC). After several attempts to get into Safe Mode with FC active, I could. Disabled all cards in Device Manager. Loaded normally to Win, re-flash back to original ROM and enable all card back.

ATTENTION
The nitro rx480 8GB cards have a different bios files  !!!! They are not interchangeable at all !!!

13-2E3470U.X4L / 13-2E3470U.X51 / 113-2E3472U.053 ... can not recall another 3 I have on my nitro rx480 cards !!!

This is the main reason why I never published my modded bios files . I have 8 of those cards with 6 differenct bioses !!!

You have to make sure , when you flashing ur card , the modded bios number is the same what's on the card already .. If not there is a chance u going to brick your card !!!!

uh, that's unfortunate  Angry

Sorry you ran into complications.

I have 12 of these cards. Some of them bought used and the rest in several batches from amazon... all 12 were running 113-2E3470U.X51 bios.

Did the card not boot from the alternate bios after flicking the bios switch?

I edited OP with a warning for the bios version.

Yes - it did not started from "non-silent" mode

Now - having the warning it is OK. Mine BIOS was completely different than yours.

Good luck!
