The thing is that we don't know if bitfinex was actually hacked. This can be them looking for the "hacker" just to low-key say to people that they were actually hacked. It would be absurd if the hacker would actually take the bait. The hacker/s probably out there enjoying the money that he got. And I don't think the hacker would grab that "enormous bounty" unless it's higher than the money that he got by hacking bitfinex.
Offering the hacker some more money is crazy. It's like saying, "You've eaten a dozen pizza, here's another piece." Of course it's only a greedy hacker who would grab that enormous bounty. And chances are, it's bitfinex's way to catch the hacker if ever they were really hacked.
Many of us are thinking this way and it is just very easy for those people behind those 'hacking incident' to say that bifinex was hacked.
We don't know or I can't say a thing about this because there is no evidence to proved about the way we think.
I am just pretty concern for their investors if bitfinex will able to help and refund some funds for them.
