Hiya all.

on the look out for a small 2/4 bay home nas unit with or without drives.

I dont want a new unit, nor huge pro amounts of space, just for small home network to add some redundancy.

let me know what you got and what you want with UK shipping.

either you send first or I am more than happy to accept trusted escrow.

regards.

I can sell you a 1 bay syno 106e or j with charger for 10eur + shipping from France (probably 10 more eur), there's an old hdd inside but it's really heavy and at the end of its life.

It's not powerful but if you want to backup your backups (have this desease too mate) it does the job Smiley

If you haven't determined your brand yet, I really recommend a synology device, it's the bomb, I've allways had them and none ever died on me, great ecosystem and regular opdates.

Cheers,
Q.

hiya

Sorry, but I wanted a raid compatible host so 2/4 bay needed really.

I have looked at some synology devices, the reviews were hugely positive but I all ways get worried when something has such good reviews so thanks for your input.

best.

EDIT: completely missed you are in UK, this thing will probably cost more to ship than what its worth due to weight.

I have a 2 drive 1TB Nas unit that can run them in a Raid 1 as a 500GB NAS that I still have original box and everything for.

I used to use it for my backups I did manually so I only turned it on as I needed to backup, then I powered down.

Unit probably has less than 100 hours of use on it and I bought it new years ago.

This isn't my unit but its what mine looks like in the box - Product Info: http://support.wdc.com/product.aspx?ID=107

yes I can understand that.

I guess if you were to use the drives yourself and just ship unit maybe lighter to post. but its ok.

To everyone.
I will prob just flea bay this guys, not really much point here I think, I will keep open, if anyone does have a deal in the near future.
