You have multiple options here.
One, you can take part in auctioning official ad space here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=104275.0 Next round should start soon. Banner must be done with correct bbcode, it is adblock resistant, many designers around here can make you one for a good price.
Second option is making your official announcement thread in the correct section of the forum.
There is always another way which is signature campaign, but that depends on your budget as those can go quite pricey. The cheapest way is a Ann thread, you should start with that.

You can advertising on this forum for free, but it's depends what kind of a thing you want to advertise.
Like poptok1 said there are have some option for other advertising, the other option can be attract more audience.
Additional way from me, held a giveaway (it's depends on thing you want to advertise), people like doing small task for money.

Along with signature campaign and slots on this forum there are some other ways of advertisement like you start some feedback campaigns where people will give you feedback to your site and you will pay them and start video creating campaigns and you also can start some social media campaign like facebook and twitter campaigns etc.
