Youre  friend was right  its better to engage  into trading hence  you could able to  make profits  with it  rather than   playing gambling  which  would not give  you nothing  but   a lose  of soo much money.  Actually theres lot  of ways  to earn  bitcoin  not  only thru gambling and  trading though.   Trading  is  not  better than  bitcoin  because   you trade  on bitcoin itself and other  cryptos. Trading  is  just  buying  a certain coin  on  low  prices and  selling   on a high price which would generate profits. Trading  isnt an easy thing to do but  you could  still learn  it as  long you are dedicated to engaged with it.

Trading atleast has the potential to give a +EV if you know what you are doing. Gambling is always -EV in the long run.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't gamble. Gambling is a lot of fun and gives you thrill. Just don't do it to expect to make a profit in the long run and learn to stick to strategy.

Trading is better than gambling.

Trading cryptocurrency specially bitcoin for long term and altcoin for daily trading is quite profitable if you can understand the market sentiment. You seem really new to word trading so better you first learn how trading works and try trading in few of the reputable trading sites before using your all bitcoin to start trading.

If you have really low bankroll try your luck with altcoin trading and invest into some promising altcoins ICO which have really good dev team on back.

Well your friend is actually Right for saying that gambling is not a right place to earn or for making a profit , trading would be much better and you can actually make a profit from there but it still involves risk of loss so you really need to learn the systems of trading and improve your skills and strategies and you have many things to understand when it comes to trading .

The thing with gambling is that It makes you greedy each time you win and you will want to deposit more and more , and the likely scenario to happen is that you will eventually lose everything you earned and the risks are more then the ones in trading.
don't get me wrong though , trading have risks too , unless you know what you are doing , you will probably lose as well , so you should look the market closely and invest in ICO (only where you see real potentials) and not another shitty altcoin. (It's easy to spot a serious project just by looking to the team , thread design , escrow , advertising , how do they answer their potentials investors etc.. ). Or you could simply buy a good coin like Bitcoin/ETH and simply HODL for long term.

If you don't have experience in trading still you can loose money same like in gambling. It is not easy at all to trade as you need to be sharp and opportunist to be able to make money from trading. They both where you need strong control on yourself in order to not loose temper which is true cause of loosing in both. Actually there are lots of related threads about that. But anyways I want to point out your statement about "the only thing you know is how to earn bitcoin by gambling". Can you elaborate this since I want to know what is your overview on gambling. You earn most of the time or that isn't what is happening?

Basically, trading obviously can give people a decent profit in the long run unlike doing gambling in the usual gambling games. Trading is a matter of buy low, sell high - sounds easy as people think that's why you will play with the market. Trading is done by bitcoin exchange services. I suggest you consult Google seach for some basic bitcoin trading terms as a start.

Trading is always better than Gambling because in trading you can control your looses but you can't do that in gambling. In gambling it is sure that you will loose as the house always and always have an edge against you, if they don't they will soon be out of business. Currently with the bitcoin price rising, it's easy to earn a lot of profit by trading. I myself bought coins at 650 and sold it today at 704 which earned me a good amount of profit. With gambling, you are playing a game and if you win/lose, you lose the entire amount which is not the case with trading where you can withdraw your investment atleast.

If you are good in gambling then go with it.  You may lose in trading if you are not well versed with it. But in general Idea, in terms of profit, trading is better than gambling because of boundless earning you can get from trading.  Aside from that, being good at trading and mastering it can give you an advantage on the market.  Trading result is influenced by skills, research and knowledge on data analysis and chart reading.  And unlike with gambling, you have control over the money you are to trade and can pull it out anytime.

what you are telling is true, but the main key feature of good trading is the patience if you have bought on high price then you have to wait for the lower odd and buy more and average it like this you can be in profit in trading. But if you go for sports betting their also you can earn lot of profits with good calculation and analysis.
