I sent BTC from MtGox to my address on Walletbit and it has been HOURS and not a single confirmation. Am I just being impatient or is something wrong?
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

It does look like its on the list of Unconfirmed transactions, according to blockchain. Is that a good thing?

Some details would be helpful in discussing your issue.

TransactionID?

Address sent to?

Amount sent?

Did you include a fee?
EDIT: I just saw that you said "from MtGox", that most likely means no fee.

How many inputs?

Some transactions (low priority with no fee) may never confirm.

High priority with a fee will typically confirm within a few blocks.

MtGox is notorious for not including fees when they are required by the network, especially if you clicked the "green" option. Not much you can do, if the priority is under 57,600,000 and there is no fee, it is considered blockable spam by nodes.

So what ultimately happens? The transaction remains eternally unconfirmed? I know its not a HUGE amount of BTC but its still like $40-which is a lot to poor me.

If you give it 4-24 hours it will likely be picked up by some miner; if MtGox was throwing all it's transactions into the permanent bit bucket, there might be just a small outcry.

First of all, fuck MtGox (again). I noticed there is another transaction that looks like it was sent with mine. It was for .5 something BTC, making the total amount .9 something. I wouldn't guess it would take so long for a transaction of that amount to be confirmed. If I have to wait, I have to wait. I'm fine with that (not like I have a choice). I just wanted to make sure that it was going to be an eternally unconfirmed transaction. Lesson learned: pay the "optional" fee next time.

Is there a way to see priority? I just closed out my armory wallet (crashed too much for me), so there are like 20 input, it didn't include a fee - but total is ~1.5btc. thoughts?
