Woot! I increased my earnings big time now. OS: Windows 7 64 bit Miners: nheqminer_v0.3a, genoil-0.4.1, Claymore 8.0.7 nheqminer (CPU, R9 280x): = 37 Sol/s genoil-0.4.1 (RX 480, R9 380x): = 21.78 Sol/s Claymore (mining Eth): = 45.6 MH/s Pools: Coinotron and Suprnova CPU: AMD FX-8370 Eight-Core Processor Claymore by itself 60 MH/s nheqminer by itself 50 Sol/s Total Mining now. Ethereum: 45.6 MH/s ZCash: 58.78 Sol/s. I actually increased over my solo mining of ZCash. If you do not have older cards like R9 280x you may get by with just genoil-0.4.1 for GPU and nheqminer for CPU mining. Ok now many will probably want to know what my start scripts are setup as so here you go. My 3 start scripts for the mining @echo off set GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0 set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool coinotron.com:3344 -ewal <worker.name> -esm 2 -epsw <password> -allpools 1 -ethi 1,1,1 @echo on genoil.exe -c zec.suprnova.cc:2142 -u <worker.name> -p <password> -g 1 2 nheqminer_suprnova.exe -u <worker.name> -p <password> -t 4 -od 0

You are making 37 on r9 280 , because your cpu makes 27sols and r9 280 makes 10?

Somewhere around that figure. Yes.

the newer RX cards are gangbuster for this.. cant believe you let the cat out of the bag. so lucrative right now Well Claymore will be out in a day or two and will be much more optimized. You really have to tweak the settings for your setup and doing that means you are not mining 100% so not sure how many are doing it themselves. It depends on GPU mostly but I have 2 older ones so can't take real advantage of it and than our miners are poorly optimized right now.

SO are you mining on gpu on both or are you just mining gpu on eth and cpu on zcash?

On both. I had to use two different ZCash miners as genoil that is optimized for AMD does not work with R9 280X cards Otherwise I would of just did GPU on Genoil and CPU only on nheqminer. Ethereum is running on all 3 cards.

@Molitar, Thank you! You are the man! I'm now mining ZEC, ETH, and DECRED on same rig, still getting same sol rate with a lower ETH/DECRED rate, but still this is huge. A big thank you! I thought it wasn't possible, but it's flying! I think some donations are in order, addy?

My 390's and 280 crashed and weren't hashing as high. So I reconfigured the Claymore file to run only the RX 470s, and they're each doing 12sol/s on ZEC, and 18Mh/s on ETH & SIA without crashing. Epic! I sold all that I had in both ETH & ZEC to position myself with other alts. I'll send you which ever one I receive a payout in first. Thank you again!

Anyone got it work with the gtx 1070? While mining ethereum the reported hashrate is 27 MH/s, but when i look on the nanopool website it is only about 2MH/s so the miner reports wrong numbers.

I tried the dual mining but the hash rate crashes in both of the software regularly, so it's not good for me.
If Claymore can make out somehow dual mining of ZEC and ETH, it would be the best for us. It needs great optimization.

out of curiosity are all your crashing miners running windows?
linux does occasionally report gpu's gone bad.. and also occasionally get constant stale shares, but just crtl-z or ctrl-c'ing out and restarting fixes everything.
Ubuntu 16.04 and debian so far.

Yes, windows 10. I can get it to dual mine ZEC and ETH for a little while, but then the cards crash even when I only used the RX 470s. I'll have to try ubuntu once things are more "normal" lol. Thank you! @smaxz & molitar, I should be getting a ZEC payout in a few hours, but I'll send you both. Sorry, but my wife sold the ZEC deposit while I was sleeping. This time I'm staying awake : )

Hi Folks, when I try 2 use this hint, it always ends in about 57% rejects in equihash (pool-side). I do not recommend this, until there is a real dual-mining solution (eg. Claymore). Just my 2 Cents. PanneKopp

i think this helps with powerful systems running efficient software on old zec miners that werent tweeked to use all the cards efficiency.
the new silentarmy miner no longer allows me to dual mine, even the 480's but the hash rates are really impressive.

I dont get it lol. I run this: title xxxxxxxxxxxxxx mining inc :start setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0 setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us1.ethpool.org:3333 -ewal xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://dcr.suprnova.cc:2252 -dwal xxxxxxxxx.xxxxxx -dpsw xxxxxx cls timeout /T 10 goto start Then I run my genoil and it crashes: genoil.exe -c zec.suprnova.cc:2142 -u xxxxxxxx.xxxxxxxxxxx -p xxxxxxxxxx -i 20 -w 64 -P 1 -g 0 1 -k zec zec zec zec -f 2 cls timeout /T 10 goto start What am I misunderstanding.... Edit* got it running but my speeds are horrible. Why would anyone do this? OK I have found an interesting balance of some sort... using only two zec functions which request 4 threads I free up room to mine eth and dcr pretty reliably in that gap. The loss in hash on one coin though is the same for all really so you get what you put in. Lower returns but you do get to mine 3 coins at once... which is nice. 480 hash on zec is about 30/s other two are about 80 and 100mh

ZEC mining looks profitable but once price goes down its the same fate
factor in 30-35% lower power draw and even if the btc payout is eventually the same as eth per rig it still makes more sense to mine zec with electricity factored in. there is also total power draw if thats what limits you. someone with say 100 amps as upper limit can now use 30% more rigs for same amps.

As someone that just built a new rx 480 x6 mining rig -- I would not try this setup until I hit my ROI. Likelihood of burning out cards is higher when stressing them with untested shit like this.
My rig has been stable and hasnt required any additional attention after updating Claymore versions every few days. Not looking to babysit this rig for all eternity.
It is a good thread with some valuable info, but personally I would avoid doing this for the time being. Let other people burn out cards and provide software updates.

The newer Claymore miners stress the GPU more. So you have to lower the core clock frequency, otherwise, they are not stable.

still genoil by a small margin, but claymore offers dual mining. this thread is no longer relevant as the new zec mining software makes simultaneous zec/eth ineffective.

Not much now. If your electricity price is high, it is better not to mine.

good to see all the experienced miners gathered here. but i would like to know how much you guys are mining with the rigs .i just want to know whether it is profitable for me to mine .
If your electricity is free you will get around 7$/day with 6x470 mining rig. Is it enough? You tell me.

You are not taking into account difficulty increase and price drop. Do the math, extrapolate that. One R7 370 did $3 a day in March. That didn't last long. You WON'T reach ROI in 200 days, it's guaranteed. Even with free electricity.

Sorry to say that, but it's total bullshit. It's not working like that at all. Check your measurement once again.

Sorry to say that, but it's total bullshit. It's not working like that at all. Check your measurement once again. What part is total BS? The hash rates, or the fact that it's working at all? On Wednesday I'll be next to the miner and I can re-check/re-measure
