From what I heard this is a real thing, they also support bitcoin unlimited no doubt thanks to Roger Ver - not sure how this will all pan out.

WTF?! Any proofs or sources?

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Looks fantastic, but those are not actual pictures. Sine they are Computer generated images we can't know what is really going on on the site. I'd be very cautious if they'd propose cloud mining because they can't even show real pictures to prove they have that farm.
you wont be able to see the full pictures before the completion of the project unless and until someone involved in the project starts leaking the images.why would you think that they would propose cloud mining  Smiley looking at the images it is a massive project with multi million dollar investment. Hope to get to know the rest of the details soon

Actually that's what I'm talking about. If they propose cloud mining I hope not many people will fall for that. Computer generated images do not say about anything except that all this is looking very suspicious. Some people say they are real though, I mean they say that the project is not a fake.

The project is very much real, though one can speculate on the hash power.

I know that ViaBTC is backed by Bitmain, but it appears that Bitmain are playing both sides. It was recently revealed that Roger Ver was prepared to pay extra 12,5 BTC per block out of his own pocket to the ones who mine Bitcoin Unlimited.

If someone can contribute to my traveling cost - won't ask for much, 1 bitcoin should be enough, I can visit the place and write a detailed report and publish it here.

That's a great idea, but what if they won't permit you to enter the site? I think that is very possible because if they are lying they are not interested in a detailed report about their lies. Of course maybe you have the authority to enter anywhere, I don't know about that, but if you don't then the chances are it's impossible to make such a report.

If you are not allowed to enter the premises could you try to fly a drone around and at least try to observe from above what the place looks like. Do you have a friend who is a journalist? Maybe if you tell them that you want to write a piece about their operation they would let you go in. Just an idea  Wink

I am a journalist myself - worked in the media before and still a paid contributor of CoinDesk and a few other non-bitcoin outlets.

Re the DC, I think it is probably not what it claims to be, just a hunch but being a Chinese and know how the Chinese think and behave...

Anyway, I am too busy setting up my own farm. Once things settle down a little, I may visit at my own expense.
