This is bad idea, just look what it is happening in the euro zone, countries have different economic realities, some need to increase the supply of money at different rates but since all of them use the same currency then they cannot do it, that is why countries like Greece are going to be indebted forever if they keep themselves on the euro.

When there will be a single currency for all the countries then I guess individual country should not have right to mint money alone. That must be the problem those European countries are facing.
I guess we are slowly moving toward the world of having one single currency. Even governments will not be doing this, people must be making this into reality in coming years.

Governments are going to fight to the end if you think they are going to give their right to print their own currencies, governments are very dependent on being able to print their own currencies for all kind of stuff, if they want to do something without adding a tax that will be unpopular then they will just print the money and get away with.

But, for that thing to happen, it might be impossible. Because if it will happen, other countries will think that the one who created that currency will be the most powerful country that will be on top of every nation. That will be a great chaos because in our time, each and everyone wants to be on top of each other and no one wants to be just a follower. That is the evidence of being globally competitive. Also, the government lies on their tradition, belief, and the majority decision of their people before implementing such thing. So, the possibility of using one currency for the world is somewhat really impossible right now.

Having a single, global currency, while allowing for everyone to avoid having to deal with exchange rates, it also forces people to be subject to whatever kind of inflation system that they apply on the currency, and a lot of countries would need to print their own money, of that one currency, to continue with most governmental functions. You would need to have a single global government for something like that to work, and that's a really bad idea for its own set of reasons. There is no real need to have a single currency, not worth going through the hassle to implement something like that.

If thats the case, there will be no poorer in each country everybody will become prosper and I think there will going to have one accord to all countries in the entire world.

For sure they will become successful because all people with have unity will have a huge positive effect in the world because if there is unity then it means people will help each other to improve their self and there is no one will get left behind for this movement but if we will based on reality then it is very impossible for the people in the world to use one currency only.

In my own opinion if we have only one currency we will have no any problem to change our money into other countries money. But this thread has an interesting and good question i only see one situation to answer this question. And that is the growth of a economy of a country.

In the past when currencies were backed by gold this was not a problem either if a currency was backed by certain oz of gold and another for a different number of oz then the exchange rate will be the difference of the oz of gold among the currencies that is why there was no speculation about the price of the currencies like what we have right now.

For practical purposes, in fact the American dollar is the universal currency par excellence since it is perfectly identifiable by most human beings and can be admitted even in the most remote corners of the planet. It is true that the dollar is subject to the great problems and weaknesses that the fiat money represents, but this does not diminish the desire of every human being  to obtain sooner or later his first million dollars. The financial experiment that has represented the euro is a proof that "inventing" a new universal currency from scratch represents many difficulties and solves few structural problems, so I do not believe in the idea of launching a single currency for everyone, because a global currency already exists: The American Dollar.

Actually it's impossible to happen, but if we only use one currency for all people around the world, it must be something big happened and we must have 1 person or 1 organization that can control and rules that currency. I'm sure it will affect the economy of all countries too.

That would be really hard to do because no one would be willing to adjust with just one currency and trading wouldn't happen. There would be no movement in the market if that happens.

There is no need to have one kind od currency. You can convert it to another anyway. But that would be hard to imagine.
