Can anyone check if cryptopia still have BTC in hot/cold wallet?
I checked the address I used to deposit, and it's empty. Sadly, empty. Bu I dunno if it's correct to do a similar check.

When we talk about the damage, lets put things in perspective.
We are in bear market and prices are bottoming, so the real damage is actually much much bigger.
cryptopia has faced other hacks before, am i right? but never of this magnitude? so they were able to hurdle problems that arose from previous hacks like maybe pay off those who legitimately lost their cryptocurrencies to a hack? wonder how they'll deal with this latest headache... i started with them sometime early 2016 and didn't have problems other than delayed transactions at times and not so prompt customer service responses (also sometimes). and as far as i know, they've always gone back online after a reported hack/breach which was probably just small-scale coz they got back quick... but this one is different so, given that this experience will hurt their reputation if they turn back online, i hope they invest in or find a way to quickly identify suspicious activities within their site in the future. i still think they're a better choice than other medium-level exchanges. i agree with you when you mentioned that their ui was easy to use. that's one of the reasons why i like using their exchange. |

When you deposit to an exchange it is just a deposit address that it is sent to. An automated process then sweeps it and sends it to a hot wallet or cold wallet. The address that you are looking at is just a deposit address and won't hold funds for longer than a few hours max. (until swept) |

Still No News from Cryptopia in the past 36 Hours, I find it irresponsible and unprofessional for cryptopia. Keepinh all their clients with upto date information should be their priority instead they slack around and wait for police to issue an statement.
They should allow the withdrawals of all unaffected coins from the hack so everyone can move on and transfer them to a safe place.

Had some coins left in Cryptopia like Corion and Lina and I had some BTC too I guess but not worth more than $10 at the current market rate. Still don't want to lose it and hope Cryptopia gives back the users' money. We can't pay for their mistakes.
